She swallowed the words that she wanted to say to Meng Suisui and asked curiously, "Suisui, what do you want to do now? How are you going to teach these women how to fight for their rights?" She really wanted to know what Meng Suisui had prepared for these women.
"I haven’t thought about it yet, but I will go back and write something down." Meng Suisui was really ambitious. She then raised her head and looked at Bai Meiyue, who seemed to be a little confused by her actions. "Yueyue, I know that everyone thinks that what I am doing is foolish, but I want to prove to everyone that, despite all the sufferings these women have gone through, they are capable of becoming something more than just bed warmers!"
"Then I wish you the best of luck." Bai Meiyue did not pour cold water on Meng Suisui’s grand plans. If she thought that she could do it, then Bai Meiyue would support her. She neither looked down on Meng Suisui nor had some grand expectations from her. Because what Meng Suisui had in her mind was not something that anyone could achieve just with mere talk alone.
And if Meng Suisui somehow managed to do it, then she would have to admit that there was nothing wrong with it. So, she could only give Meng Suisui some mental support in the hope that the woman would be able to do what she promised herself in her heart.
Meng Suisui was also determined, so she went back home and started planning.
Bai Meiyue turned to look at Meng Qibao and asked, "Are you not going to stop her?"
"There is no point." Meng Qibao shook his head. He sighed and said to Bai Meiyue, "It’s not that I don’t want to stop my sister, but there is no point in stopping her." When he saw that she was looking confused, he explained, "Our aunt married a violent man and died in his hands; why else do you think Anzhi lives with us? Though Meng Anzhi is not a good woman, our aunt was really good to our mother. So our mother brought her home. We never brought this matter up and always said that our family owed Meng Anzhi’s parents. But it seems like our aunt’s death left a mark on my sister’s heart, and it has only deepened after seeing Anzhi’s actions."
Meng Qibao never mentioned his aunt because it was a sore spot for all of them. His aunt was a good and honest woman but was beaten to death by her husband, and in return, the man escaped with all the money and did not even get punished by law. When they tried to fight for it, the police actually stated that the matter was a domestic dispute and they could not do anything. A good woman was gone like that, and the case was not even registered.
