Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1653

Chapter 1653: Help him?

As the bald man lifted his eyes and met Atticus’, the world blurred in Atticus’ vision.

He felt a danger unlike anything he had ever felt in his life. His will began to churn before he could even realize it.

The man tilted his head slightly as he regarded Atticus, then a smile slowly stretched across his face, so wide it looked unnatural.

"Food—"

Atticus flashed before the man like a phantom, driving his blade forward with such force that a vacuum formed in its wake.

Boom!

An overwhelming force blasted out from the impact, sending Azeron, Thora, Thomas along with the endless debris of the willguard’s base hurling away.

As the haze cleared, Atticus’ eyes narrowed to slits.

’He blocked it?’

A purple barrier had formed before the bald man, effortlessly blocking his attack. This was the life weapon, bare and untainted. For anything to block it so easily...

’Solvath.’

There was no doubt.

It was the weapon the inscriber had been talking about.

Atticus’ gaze sharpened as the barrier began to flicker. He shifted his gaze toward the man, and widened when he saw that he had vanished.

A wave of danger surged through him. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

’A punch.’

He barely managed to cross his arms in time before a brutal punch crashed into him. The air was knocked out of his lungs as he was lifted off the ground.

He caught a glimpse of the man’s unnatural smile before he was sent tearing backward with explosive force.

Atticus twisted midair, barely flinching as he crashed through trees and tore across the terrain. His arms were broken. For something to break through his exo suit and shatter his arms...

Atticus’ gaze grew cold.

’He’s strong.’

His eyes sharpened as the man flashed above him, his fist plummeting down like a falling star.

Atticus’ will churned, healing his broken arms in an instant.

He shifted his weight downward. The moment his feet touched the ground, he exploded upward like a spring, the wind blasting past him as the punch tore through empty space.

He tightened his grip on his katana and slashed toward the man’s neck.

The man’s tattoo suddenly flared orange, and he vanished.

Atticus’ eyes constricted.

’Where?’

A cold wave washed down his back, and he spun instantly. A massive fist filled his entire vision. He jerked his head aside, barely evading the blow. Just as he moved to retaliate, the man vanished again.

Atticus’ head snapped up to find a leg plummeting toward his head. His will churned, and he vanished in a burst of light.

As he appeared above, the man flashed before him the next instant, driving a fist forward, then vanished again. Appearing behind him, then beside him, then above...

Another punch. And another. And another.

In an instant, endless waves of brutal strikes surged toward him from every direction.

Atticus remained unfazed as his eyes glowed crimson.

"Endless Blade."

He blurred into multiple afterimages, unleashing a storm of slashes that met each punch in violent collisions that detonated in the air.

Explosions rang out in rapid succession, shockwaves stacking over one another and rolling outward, tearing through the land below.

A deep frown settled on Atticus’ face as he felt the vibrations thrumming through his body. Every strike was heavy. Too heavy.

His gaze narrowed as the man burst through the thick haze. His tattoos flashed black, and Atticus felt an overwhelming weight settle over him, halting his movement.

It flashed green the next moment, and thick roots surged from the ground, shooting up to pierce through him.

Atticus flared his will and tore free of the pressure, darting away just as the roots pierced through where he had been.

He caught sight of the light around the man flashing orange before he vanished.

Atticus spun and brought his blade down instantly, meeting the punch head-on. The impact unleashed an explosive blast, sending him hurling backward.

Before he could regain his balance, the man was already upon him, raining down torrents of relentless attacks that wraped the air.

’He’s using multiple wills.’

Atticus was barely able to keep up with the unending barrage. The light engulfing the man shifted constantly, one moment, an immense weight slowed him; the next, something attacked at his mind.

Atticus fixed his gaze on the purple glow radiating from the man’s eyes and finally understood.

’Solvath.’

As far as he knew, Solvath was the primordial star of harmony and unification. Which was why Raziel had been able to absorb part of its will during their fight and utilize it.

The Willguard had clearly fed their weapon with all sorts of wills, turning him into something truly monstrous.

’I can’t keep up.’

The man’s speed increased with every passing second, and the constant shifts in will only made it worse. Atticus was already using the full brunt of his will and elements, yet it still wasn’t enough.

’Having cards up your sleeve is nice, student. But not when you’re losing. It’s time to stop holding back.’

Atticus’ eyes grew cold at the Arbiter’s remark. She was right. This wasn’t the time to hold back.
