Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1679

Chapter 1679: Legend

Atticus stared at the boundless sky, a million thoughts flashing through his mind.

After ten years, ten long years, it was finally time to ascend to the Crown. Atticus turned and fixed his people with a steady look. As they returned solemn gazes, a swirl of emotions rose within him.

These were all people who meant something to him in the entire domain. His family, friends, and the subordinates he had come to trust over the years.

Everyone was present. Even the three remaining Apex, Lirae, Maera, and Ae’ark, had joined them.

Aside from Ozeroth and Whisker, he had made sure to raise the power of his close family. Excluding Freya, whom he had already brought to the peak of the Span, the others were not far behind.

Though the same couldn’t be said for their fighting ability, it eased his heart knowing they could at least protect themselves against whatever the Crown might throw at them.

His thoughts hardened.

’But it won’t get to that.’

He had learned his lesson the hard way. Now, he wouldn’t wait for enemies to come running to him.

He would go to them. He would end them before they ever had the chance to come for him or his loved ones.

His gaze shifted to the world. The vast, seemingly endless domain stretched across his vision.

Even now, though he would remain connected to it and its boundless will, he would still be leaving it behind as he ascended the Crown.

It meant the world would be left to fend for itself without him. After so many years spent shaping it, Atticus would be lying if he said he felt nothing at the thought of leaving it behind.

But it wasn’t all sentimental. After all, Eldoralth was the culmination of all his current power. Should it fall, it would mean losing the boundless energy that made him a god.

Unlike the other major factions, who had numerous worlds and gods hidden across the Summit, he had only this one.

"I’ll leave everything to you, Oberon."

"...leave it to me." The Enigmalnk’s voice was low, steady. "As long as I stand, nothing touches this place."

His fists fists tightened, as though bracing against an unseen weight.

The Atticus of now was far different from the past.

The decade had seen Atticus grow even taller than before, standing at nine foot one.

His features had matured, a thick patch of white beard sprouting from his chin and swaying gently in the wind.

Even his voice had deepened, carrying a heavier, more commanding presence. If the Atticus of the past felt like a cold blade pressed against one’s throat, to the Eldorians now, it felt as though that blade had grown in size and weight.

Regardless, it was his eyes that had changed the most. His gaze now carried something it hadn’t for years, experience.

He had seen the world, watched people live, understood how it worked, and hardened his ideals through it all.

His eyes now held the quiet weight of a veteran. And his endless training, constantly pushing himself to his limits, had refined his power into something far beyond what many could comprehend.

In essence, over the past ten years, he had forged himself into a lethal weapon, in both power and mind.

Atticus gave Oberon a calm nod, then shifted his gaze to the other Eldorians hovering nearby. Aside from Oberon, the majority of them, save for his family, would be remaining behind to protect the world.

He had made sure each of their powers was at an acceptable level.

With that settled, he turned his attention back to his family once more.

With the Eldorians sitting this out, it left, Freya. Anorah. Ozeroth. Whisker. Noctis. Magnus. Avalon. Anastasia. Aurora. Ember. Caldor. Zoey. Azeron. Thora. Thomas. Tia. Kancilot. Arya. Ae’ark. Lirae. Maera. Zion. Lyra.

Each of them held different expressions, a quiet mix of emotions passing between them.

Even Ozeroth and Whisker, who were rarely silent around each other, had gone still, their gazes fixed on the sky with hardened looks. To the side, Anorah gripped her father’s blade tightly, her face set in seriousness.

Everyone present had something, sentimental or otherwise, they wanted to accomplish in the Crown. It was no different for Atticus.

After all, the majority of his enemies, both in the Verge and the Span, were gathered there.

Exhaling slowly, Atticus lifted his gaze to the sky, a faint flicker of fire passing through his eyes.
