Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1570

Otherwise, the world would be in chaos.

Megan nodded firmly. “That’s exactly why I said her fanbase is completely unhinged. Once they set their sights on someone, it’s like getting bitten by a rabid dog—you can’t shake them off.

“They blindly worship Yvonne no matter what she does. In their eyes, everything she says or does is right.

“They’re like a bunch of school kids following the crowd, running around without direction, defending her no matter what.”

Hearing that, Aurora finally pieced things together.

No wonder Yvonne was so arrogant—she had a whole army backing her. With so many fans standing behind her, what did she have to be afraid of?

Aurora, however, was in a completely different position.

She was just someone running a design studio. Joining this show was purely the director’s idea.

He’d been drawn to her looks and thought she’d be good for ratings. For her, it was also an opportunity to promote her studio.

When she first started the business, money was tight, and professional publicity was expensive.

So, when this chance came along, she couldn’t turn it down. She hadn’t expected to run into Lucas’ former business partner here, though.

Being women, Aurora could read the look in Yvonne’s eyes immediately—provocation mixed with curiosity, as if testing how she felt about Lucas.

Now that they were both on the same show, Yvonne clearly held the upper hand.

She’d deliberately tried to find faults with Aurora on camera, and Aurora could sense every jab.

Aurora finally understood what Megan meant.

She was worried Yvonne’s fanbase might be planning something behind the scenes.

Those people had followed Yvonne for years, fiercely loyal to her. If Yvonne were publicly embarrassed on a show, they’d normally explode online within hours. The silence now was tpp unusual.

Aurora arched a brow, a flicker of unease crossing her eyes. She knew something felt off, but seeing how tense Megan looked, she didn’t want to make her even more anxious.

So, she simply smiled and shifted the subject. “Maybe this time even her fans realized she was in the wrong.

“People might turn a blind eye once, but they can’t stay blind forever. The truth’s already out there for everyone to see. I don’t need to defend myself. It’d only make me look guilty.”
