Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1577

The director continued, “Twisting the truth happened before in the industry. They even drove a regular person to their death once. But we’ve kept quiet about it for a long time.

“So, telling you this now already carries some risk. I just want you to understand what kind of backing Yvonne has.”

“I understand. Thank you, Mr. Smith.”

Aurora let out a quiet sigh. Both Megan and the director had mentioned Yvonne’s fans. It seemed she really did need to be cautious. Who knew what kind of rumors that group might spread about her?

As expected, the director shared the same concern.

“Actually, when you and Yvonne argued yesterday, I was already watching the online chatter.

“It’s happened before—whenever Yvonne clashed with someone on a show, that same night or by the next morning, the internet would be flooded with scandals about the other person.”

Aurora was taken aback.

“Mr. Smith, if that’s the case, doesn’t that mean she has some serious connections?”

“Of course she does.”

The director replied firmly, “Not only does Yvonne have powerful backing, but her fans too. Like I told you, they come from all kinds of networks. They always manage to dig up dirt on people.

“That’s why I find it strange—it's already the next day, yet there’s still no movement.”

At that, the director suddenly paused, eyeing Aurora from head to toe.

Curiosity flickered in his expression. “Could it be that you don’t have any scandals at all, Miss Walton?”

“Who can say for sure?” Aurora replied with a playful smile.

But she didn’t ask.

She figured the director probably wouldn’t have told her anyway.

Besides, that was someone else’s field of expertise. What she needed to do was listen and learn, not question everything.

Seeing Aurora still lighthearted enough to joke, the director couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

“You’re truly fearless. It’s the courage of someone new to the game.”

Aurora said nothing but didn’t deny it either.

“Mr. Smith, since you’ve told me all this, I’ll keep it in mind,” she said calmly.
