Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1588

“Where did you hear she’s married? Lucas Carter hasn’t made any official announcement, has he?”

“Maybe not publicly, but I’ve got some inside news,” someone said quietly. “They both work at Vanguard Group. I heard Lucas already has someone he loves and it’s definitely not Yvonne Song.”

That revelation drew surprised looks from the rest. None of them had expected the upper-class circle to have so many secrets hidden beneath the surface.

“Even so, that power-couple rumor online seems pretty convincing,” another person argued, pulling out their phone and scrolling to the trending list to prove their point.

“Look at this, everyone’s talking about it. And honestly, Yvonne and Lucas standing together look perfect. Their visuals are like a masterpiece of creation.”

But someone else disagreed.

“If you’re talking about a masterpiece, I think Aurora Walton fits that title even better.”

At the mention of her name, everyone exchanged glances, but no one objected.

They all knew it was true—anyone with eyes could see it.

Besides, even though Aurora was only a guest on the show, she had her own studio. The director clearly liked her and had invited her to promote her work through the program.

The staff were well aware of that.

But Yvonne’s influence was stronger, and no one wanted to offend her.

They all felt conflicted, deciding it was safer to wait and watch how things unfolded online.

As for Aurora, she didn’t respond to any of it.

She carried on as if nothing had happened, filming when it was time to film and eating when it was time to eat.

Neither her appetite nor her rhythm was affected in the slightest.

Meanwhile, Yvonne had people watching her every move.

“And besides, Lucas hasn’t made any public statement yet. She must know about what’s happening online. Maybe she’s even trying to find a way to get a divorce. This could actually be your chance.”

Yvonne’s eyes lit up instantly. The assistant’s words made perfect sense.

How had she missed that detail? Lucas hadn’t said a word about the scandal.

If he truly didn’t know, that would be impossible.

Desmond had been monitoring the internet nonstop.

If anything came up, he would’ve informed Lucas right away.

The fact that Lucas hadn’t done anything proved one thing: he didn’t care enough to intervene.

And if the real man involved didn’t step up to clarify, the rumors would only continue to spread and grow stronger by the minute.
