Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1841

Yvonne took a deep breath and decided to handle the matter tomorrow.

No matter what, she still needed to return to the country before she could deal with it.

Meanwhile, things were far from calm back in the country.

Since Aurora had already made up her mind, she couldn’t let this issue drag on any longer.

She felt the sooner it was handled, the better.

Letting it stall was nothing but a waste of her time.

With the evidence nearly ready, Aurora chose to strike first.

Grace, on the other hand, kept debating whether she should allow Tessa to attend the family meeting.

Now that Tessa and Sean had acknowledged each other, it clearly meant they shared some secret she still didn’t understand.

Without knowing the full story, letting Tessa join the meeting so easily might give her the chance to pull something, and how would Grace explain that to those old board members?

She might have held the reins of the Walton family, but she was still an outsider by blood.

If they learned she had spent all these years raising another man’s daughter, wouldn’t that be a slap to all their faces?

The thought alone unsettled her.

But she didn’t know how to bring it up, and by the time the day of the family meeting arrived, her nerves were a mess.

Before she could even notify Tessa, Tessa called her first.

“Mom, I’ll be there on time for tonight’s meeting.”

“What are you talking about?”

Grace spoke without thinking, then immediately realized it sounded wrong.

“What am I talking about? I attend the family meeting every year, don’t I?”

Hearing that, Grace regretted her slip of the tongue at once.
