As Grace continued to think in silence, Sean spoke leisurely, “Take your time thinking it over. I’ll take Tessa and leave first.”
“Where do you think you’re taking her?”
At those words, Grace instantly went on guard.
After all, at this point, Tessa was still considered a sinner of the Walton family.
So many eyes were watching her. Even if she did not want to hand Tessa over, she could not possibly let her go freely.
Everyone knew how closely connected she was to Tessa.
If she let Tessa walk away just like that, how was she supposed to answer to the shareholders?
“She’s my daughter. Where I take her has nothing to do with you.”
“So now you admit she’s your daughter.”
Hearing this, Grace found it somewhat laughable. “Then when I brought her here back then, why didn’t you say she was your daughter?”
“But when you brought her here, you also said you would treat her as your own daughter.
“I really wonder how your memory got so bad. You’re just like you were when you were young.”
Sean laughed arrogantly.
He knew Grace had already reached the end of her rope.
She could not stir up any real trouble anymore.
Compared to him, she was far behind.
The scattered shares he had been quietly collecting during this time could finally come into play.
Once combined with the shares Grace gave Tessa, he would become the largest shareholder of Walton Corporation.
After that, the company would change hands entirely.
It would bear the Curtis name.
Just thinking about it made Sean unable to hide his grin.
Ignoring Grace’s opposition, he grabbed Tessa and left without hesitation.
As Tessa stood up from the floor and looked at Grace’s retreating figure, her feelings were complicated.
