Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1909

In the past, she always thought her parents did not love her.

Now she realized it was only because the way they expressed love was too restrained.

That was what led to all these misunderstandings.

If she had noticed it earlier, would her relationship with her parents have been even better?

Yvonne pressed her lips together, unable to describe what she felt.

Because she knew very well that there were no what-ifs.

What mattered more now was cherishing the people in front of her.

Only the present was real.

If someone kept living in the past, they would never be able to move forward.

With that thought, a gentle smile appeared on Yvonne’s face.

After settling in and arriving at the Carter residence, they noticed a familiar car parked at the entrance.

At the time, Yvonne simply stayed alert but did not think too much of it.

“Dad, Mom, are you ready?”

Yvonne glanced over at her parents.

There was no expression on either of their faces.

When Yvonne asked, they responded earnestly.

“Of course we’re ready.”

Both of them answered with firm voices.

They knew very well that once they got through today, their daughter’s lifelong matter could finally be resolved.

Why wouldn’t they be willing to do that?

“Don’t worry, sweetheart. As long as it’s about you, we’ll always take it to heart.”

Michelle said seriously.

She might indeed have cared deeply about her own family in the past.

All of it would be nothing more than wasted effort.

“Let’s go. We should head inside.”

At this moment, Charles was already filled with anticipation.

As long as this matter was settled, he would feel he had done right by his daughter.

She had never once asked him for anything.

Now that she had run into trouble, how could he, as a parent, stand by and do nothing?

If he did, wouldn’t that mean he had utterly failed as a parent?

Besides, his daughter had always been sensible.

She had never caused him any trouble.

What she was facing now was simply the result of Edwin’s unilateral actions.

If she had never met Edwin in the first place, none of these troubles would have followed.
