Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1927

“So, you’re all doing this because of me?”

Lucas slowly curved his lips. “What is it? Did you suddenly turn silly?”

Aurora blinked, momentarily stunned.

“I just never thought I’d deserve to be treated so well by all of you.”

Back at the Walton family home, even her own biological mother had never treated her this kindly.

Because of that, Aurora had always believed she didn’t deserve the good things in this world.

She never understood what she had done to earn them.

But after coming to this family, Aurora finally realized something.

They truly gave her their wholehearted care.

At first, Diana hadn’t fully understood why her son would fall for Aurora.

But once she came to terms with it, she understood one simple truth.

Liking someone meant liking them—there didn’t always have to be a reason.

Being together simply meant being together.

If everything had to be dissected, judged, and explained,

wouldn’t life lose much of its joy?

After understanding that, Diana’s attitude toward Aurora changed completely.

Because this was the girl her son loved.

And loving him meant extending that care to her as well.

After all, her son was not one to fall easily.

She couldn’t risk upsetting Aurora and driving her away because of her own actions.

Philip also gently patted the back of Aurora’s hand.

“Aurora, that’s not quite right.”

“What do you mean?”

His sudden seriousness startled her.

She didn’t understand why he had said that out of nowhere.

Lucas lifted the hand she had placed on her stomach and held it firmly in his own.

“What I want isn’t just a healthy baby. I want you to be healthy first.”

His gaze was unwavering. “If you weren’t well, how could there even be a child?”

Aurora slowly parted her lips, deeply moved.

She had thought she had done something wrong and upset him.

Now she realized that wasn’t the case at all.
