George arranged breakfast and brought along two middle–aged women.

“These are royal matrons sent straight from the palace to help you dress and do your makeup. You’ll be meeting the Prince this afternoon, so everything must be absolutely perfect.”

One was assigned to Elowen, and the other to Maya.

In her room, the matron unpacked her bundle, revealing neatly folded gowns, jewelry, and fine cosmetics.

Elowen smiled in return. “You flatter me, my lord.”

George, however, wasn’t thinking that deeply.

Turning around, he barked at a lackey, “Go check what’s taking her so long! We’re gonna be late if she doesn’t hurry up!”
