Sister-in-law Gao reported the number for sending warmth to the Five Guarantees household directly to Cheng Su at home. Cheng Su offered her a seat and pushed a fruit tray over, discussing some details with her and jotting them down on paper.

"If you were petty, then the whole compound wouldn’t have anyone as generous!" Sister-in-law Gao laughed, patting her hand.

Cheng Su wasn’t someone who usually acted stingy. Normally, if she bought some fruit back and saw the kids, she’d share it with them. Who wouldn’t say she’s generous?
