Chapter 1720: Chapter 1721: I Was Always the Bait

Chiang Qing has entered the country!

Ning Ge squeezed time out of her hectic schedule to meet Bai Ying, and heard this news from her.

She took the photos Bai Ying handed over and glanced at them. They were surveillance shots taken at the airport immigration area, black-and-white, not very clear, but Ning Ge recognized her at a glance.

There were a few more photos, all pulled from the surveillance system. Looked like Bai Ying had used some of her tech.

"The rest of the background info hasn’t been dug up yet, this is all I’ve got in outline. For Chiang Qing to be able to latch onto Shen Rong, it should be through her grandfather," Bai Ying pushed over a kraft envelope and said, "On the surface the two of them don’t have any dealings at all. Even when the Loo Family collapsed, this Shen Rong never stepped out. But I found that, right before the Loo Family went under, they vaguely seemed to have mentioned Shen Rong to the family. As for the specifics, that’s unclear."

Ning Ge opened the file bag and skimmed through at ten lines a glance. This file was basically a detailed rundown of Shen Rong’s personal abilities and preferences, who he favored most, and some things that couldn’t see the light of day. But as for his relationship with the Loo Family and Chiang Qing, there was barely anything.

"Was it this Wang Guanghua who made the introduction?" Ning Ge saw a line of information and asked.

Bai Ying took a sip of hot coffee and said, "You can’t really call it an introduction, at most I’ve heard that this Wang Guanghua once sought out Shen Rong."

Wang Guanghua was also a tycoon in the business world, and he had drinking-circle ties with Gao Hongbo. So was it because of that, that Chiang Qing went through him, and then Wang helped her find Shen Rong?

If this setup holds, then that means Chiang Qing had long known of Shen’s existence, she just couldn’t get to him. She went through Wang, and that’s how it worked out.

Whether that’s the case, ask around and you’d know. However, as Ning Ge kept reading, her brows knitted together.

Wang Guanghua died of a myocardial infarction.

Looking at the date, it was only a few days apart from Gao Hongbo’s death. That was a bit too coincidental, wasn’t it?
