It’s already March in spring, rain drizzling gently. Lately, Chiang Qing has been feeling uneasy, especially when witnessing this gloomy weather, thick fog, constant rain, making her feel more stifled inside.
She gazed outside at the rainwater like fine threads, clenched her fists and tapped her chest, exhaling heavily.
Someone hugged her waist from behind, Chiang Qing slightly tilted her head to glance and then looked outside the window again.
"What’s wrong?" Bi Xiaojin kissed the top of her head, asking gently.
Chiang Qing tapped her chest again, saying, "I don’t know, feeling suffocated inside, very uncomfortable."
Bi Xiaojin frowned and said, "Do you want to go to the hospital for a check-up? I also feel like your complexion hasn’t been great lately."
Chiang Qing shook her head, saying, "No need."
"But..."
"I said no need, didn’t you hear me?" Chiang Qing turned around and snapped.
Bi Xiaojin pressed his lips and after a while said, "I’m just concerned about you."
"What right do you have to worry about me? What do you matter?" Chiang Qing’s voice was sharp, feeling increasingly agitated and frustrated inside.
For so long, she’s exhausted every means possible, even resorting to a staged hardship to stay, yet there’s still no sign from her belly; is it true that she can’t give birth?
What now, how can she continue dragging this on? She even feels Shen Rong’s patience for her is diminishing.
Bi Xiaojin showed a hurt expression on his face, looking at her silently.
"I said enough!" Chiang Qing glared at him.
Bi Xiaojin lowered his head, saying, "I know you’re angry, but I just want you to be happier, without constantly worrying; am I wrong?"
With a cold expression, Chiang Qing donned her clothes and walked out the door.
Bi Xiaojin watched the door close, pressed his lips, and also put on clothes and walked out.
Inside the office, Chiang Qing and her brother sat facing each other. Seeing him coming out, Chiang Tian waved his hand, Bi Xiaojin gave a slight bow and walked out.
After he left, Chiang Tian frowned and spoke to his elder sister, "Sis, you guys had a fight? The voiced argument was loud enough to spread outside."
"Do you know what he said? He told me to take out the old man, do you think he’s crazy? Or has he just become too arrogant?" Chiang Qing sneered.
