Cheng Su sat down next to Ning Ge, who was idly fiddling with a pen in the corridor. When she sat down, he only lifted his head briefly but said nothing.

Cheng Su said nothing as well, and instead took out the materials she was reviewing from her bag to study, seizing a moment of leisure to focus on her learning.

"Can you solve all these questions?" asked Ning Ge, glancing at her materials.

Ning Ge hung his head.

"This time it was my lack of consideration, acting on impulse. I won’t do it again!" he finally added after a while.

Cheng Su acknowledged with a sound and said, "If you can consider not only yourself but others as well, that means you’ve grown up."

"Talking like you are so much older, yet you’re younger than me!" Ning Ge grumbled.

Cheng Su glared at him, "Younger in age, but more mature in behavior!"

"Yes, yes, you’re the big sister and I’m the little brother, alright?" Ning Ge surrendered with his hands raised.

Cheng Su smiled smugly, and they exchanged a look, laughing together, offering each other a way to step down gracefully.

The woman was understandably disappointed and sad, but Cheng Su’s generosity was a consolation. At home, she followed the advice to avoid spreading the infection and ate her meals separately without further mention.

Cheng Su led the remaining people on a tour to familiarize themselves with the factory, taught them how to use the equipment, and had Sister Wang send over pineapples to try making a small batch of pineapple jam. Cheng Su settled on the quantities and specifics only when the process was nearly as safe as making it by hand.

Then they tested making strawberry jam, which was intended to be the flagship product for Joy Soon Loy. Since strawberries cost more than pineapples, Cheng Su was very cautious, imposing strict standards on the workers. From hygiene to the jam-making process, anyone entering the operation room had to wear a uniform, mask, and head covering—nothing could be missed.

As the launch day approached, Cheng Su handed over the restaurant temporarily to Old Song and Qiulan so she could focus on the jam. Qi Taiguo also helped out at the restaurant by collecting money sometimes and would pick up Cheng Su from the factory if it got late.
