Beast Love Show: All For Her (by Sylvester Raven) novel Chapter 4

"Convince me to quit the show? Did General Hartwell say that? Hah, that's laughable. Mind your own business!"

Fiona contacted Layla through the Vanguard spacecraft's communication system, but as soon as she finished speaking, Layla retorted.

It puzzled her. How did Layla know about General Hartwell when I hadn't even mentioned him?

However, that wasn't the main issue.

Didn't Layla join the show specifically to meet General Hartwell and the others? Why is she berating him?

Layla was actually lashing out at Liam.

The original Layla had been a very calculating person. Whether she actually liked someone or not, she would go out of her way to show her affection to secure her position as the Grant family heiress.

But Liam was different to her. She genuinely liked him.

A small planet, L109, had been attacked by insects. The former Layla, who had just escaped years of abuse from her adoptive mother, was about to die before she could even taste freedom.

Liam appeared just in time, saving her and helping her reunite with her true family.

He encouraged her to reclaim what was rightfully hers.

The former Layla believed he understood her. She planned to let him go once she drove Stella out and became the head of the Grant family.

However, when everyone despised her, Liam's words became the final blow. "I shouldn't have saved you in the first place."

In the novel, the former Layla had also gone through this "persuasion." But she never realized it was Liam behind it. If she had, maybe her heart wouldn't have been so completely shattered.

Now it was Layla's turn to be "persuaded." She had to curse Liam on the former Layla's behalf.

D*mn man! All talk, no action!

With a sharp twist of her wrist, Layla snapped the stick she was using.

She ended the call, grabbed another stick, and continued digging, oblivious to the uproar her sarcasm caused in the livestream.

[Is she insane? Does she even know who she's cursing?]

[Looks like this toxic waste doesn't fancy General Hartwell. Great!]

[Who do you think you are, loser? How dare you look down on General Hartwell?]

[General Hartwell told her to withdraw. Of course she's upset.]

"General Hartwell." Fiona, eyeing the disconnected call, chose her words carefully. "Ms. Hale..."

"I know." On the screen beside Liam, Layla's livestream was playing.

He had heard her sharp words loud and clear. He had also caught the impatience and disdain on her face.

His eyes narrowed slightly with a flicker of interest. She was the one chasing after me. I should be the one feeling disgusted. So why is it the other way around?

He hoped Layla would keep her dismissive attitude for the upcoming recording.

He said, "Ms. Myers, I'll be there in two hours."

Digging with a stick was laborious, but Layla's strength helped her endure. Suddenly, she struck something hard and uncovered a combat knife, its black blade as long as her forearm.

Though she didn't know its material, it was extremely sharp, easily piercing the tree trunk.

This knife was a survival tool provided by the production team for the camping tent group, intended to balance living conditions.

Setting the stick aside, she dug with renewed vigor using the knife.

By midday, she had unearthed all the tent fabric and poles, ready to pack them up.

Viewers lost interest in the live stream as they watched her dig, and when their insults went unanswered, they quickly left.
