Bai Su’s face flushed as she let go of his hand. "When I touch you, what do you feel?"
Yelias paused. "What’s wrong? I don’t feel anything."
Li Chenlin took the opportunity to squeeze in. "Susu, if he doesn’t feel anything, I will! Touch me, I’m sure I’ll feel something."
A vein throbbed on Yelias’s forehead. "...Get lost."
Bai Su asked, puzzled, "Why is it that when I touch you guys, I get a tingling, electric sensation?"
"Don’t you feel it at all?"
The others all shook their heads.
Yelias gave her another full-body check-up. After confirming there was nothing physically wrong, he asked, "What kind of electric sensation is it? Does it hurt?"
The question caught Bai Su off guard, and a blush crept up her cheeks.
’She couldn’t very well tell them it was *that* kind of tingling, could she?’
She changed the subject. "How are you all? Are you okay? How long was I unconscious? How did we get out of the Abyss?"
Lu Tingyan gently stroked her head. "Don’t worry, we’re fine. It was too chaotic that day. Everyone was in a frenzy, and we don’t remember exactly what happened. We only vaguely recall you healing our wounds."
Li Chenlin smirked. "That giant moth thing was probably taken care of while we were on our rampage."
Yelias added, "When we woke up, we were beside the cliff of the Abyss. We were already out."
Wen Lan said, "We brought the rubies out too, so don’t worry."
Hearing this, Bai Su finally let out a sigh of relief.
Lu Tingyan looked at her softly. "Have you not noticed the change in yourself?"
Bai Su was taken aback. "What change?"
Lu Tingyan said, "You’ve broken through to Level 13."

"Nuo’er, congratulations! You’ve finally broken through to Level 13!" Mr. Qin said, a gratified smile on his face.
Qin Nuo was also thrilled. "I have you to thank, Dad. If you hadn’t brought me here to cultivate, I don’t know how long it would have taken me to break through to the next Level."
Mr. Qin looked with satisfaction at the child he had raised. "I’m sure that with you here, Qin City will only get better and better."
"Only when you lead the people of Qin City to survive the Dark God’s disaster will your mother truly believe that even without Qin Family blood, you are the best!"
Qin Nuo nodded emphatically, then lifted her chin. "Of course. Even if I don’t have Qin Family blood, didn’t you two raise me?"
After finishing her cultivation, Qin Nuo emerged from the secret chamber and saw the butler carrying a tray, heading toward her room.
"Butler, what are you carrying?" Qin Nuo called out, stopping him.
The butler turned, and upon seeing her, bowed respectfully. "Miss, these are some food offerings from the soldiers below. They said it’s to thank you for saving everyone the other day."
Qin Nuo gave a smug smile and waved her hand dismissively. "Tell them that protecting Qin City is my duty. They shouldn’t trouble themselves over it."
The day the black mist suddenly attacked, it was a burst of blue light from the secret chamber that had repelled it.
Qin Nuo was no fool; she naturally took all the credit for herself.
However, she couldn’t care less about the faith of these people now. She had found something she cared about more.
’The higher her Cultivation Level, the more disdainful she was of those beneath her.’
What interested her most now was the Male God Mr. Qin had mentioned, the one who was showing signs of awakening.
’Only he is worthy of me.’
Qin Nuo was incredibly glad she hadn’t listened to Mrs. Qin and made that damned Cat Beastman her first Beast Husband.
So what if the Qin Family had specially prepared him for her?
’In her eyes, a mere Cat Beastman was no longer worthy of being her Beast Husband.’
’His escape just proved he was blind to her greatness. It was his loss.’
As the dignified heir to the Beast God, she certainly wouldn’t be bogged down by such common rabble.
The butler said, "About that... they are still being pursued."
Qin Nuo grew irritated. "Why haven’t you caught them yet? What are you people doing all day?"
The thought of those females carrying her secrets made her burn with rage.
She angrily smashed the teacup in her hand and said to the butler in a cold voice, "I’m not asking you to bring them back alive. Once you find them, shoot to kill on sight. Leave no survivors, do you hear me?"
The butler was stunned. "But they’re all females..."
The look in Qin Nuo’s eyes was terrifyingly dark.
The butler quickly changed his tune. "Then... what is the reason for the execution?"
A murderous light glinted in Qin Nuo’s eyes. "Just say they stole a great treasure from the Qin Family. That they’re traitors."

After being dealt a heavy blow in the Abyss, many of the beasts had quieted down.
Lu Tingyan struck while the iron was hot, forming a new work team to build a crane on the cliff’s edge and start excavating the rubies at the bottom of the chasm.
When inlaid in the soldiers’ armor, the rubies could effectively help them resist the corrosion of the black miasma.
Bai Su had them mine extra, enough to give one to every single person in the city.
She enthusiastically brought the food she had prepared out of the city and distributed it to the soldiers by the cliff. "Time to eat, everyone!"
As soon as the soldiers heard Bai Su’s voice, they excitedly dropped what they were doing and ran over.
The food lately had all been personally made by Bai Su, and it was completely different from what anyone else made!
’It’s worth risking our lives for a taste of this!’
As Bai Su was handing out food, she suddenly caught a glimpse of something moving on the opposite cliff out of the corner of her eye.
She focused her gaze and saw that something was indeed moving—a piece of red silk, waving as if... signaling for help.
It seemed some soldiers from Qin City had left the city walls and, judging by their direction, were heading toward the signal.
