Kira blushed. 

The man was shameless! 

She gave a tiny yelp when Austyn’s hand went under her bra. 

She grabbed the offending hand and bit it. 

Austyn didn’t flinch. 

He just let her sink her teeth into his skin. 

Kira, embarrassed by her own childish behaviour, released his hand. 

Austyn looked at her with a smile in his eyes, his Adam’s apple bobbing. 

Kira swallowed and looked away. 

She knew what the man wanted, and she knew there was no getting out of it. 

At least he wasn’t rough like the other night, Kira consoled herself when Austyn unzipped her jeans. 

When it came to matters of sex, Austyn was always the one to take the initiative.

She would lie in bed and let him do whatever he wanted with her. 

She didn’t hate sex; she just didn’t find much thrill in it. 

It was something to be endured, like going to the dentist. 

But this time, it was different. 

Austyn didn’t push into her straightaway like he used to, even though she could feel his hot hardness against her thigh.

Kira gasped. 

The man took his time, exploring, massaging, rubbing. 

He drew circles on her inner thigh, the calluses on his fingers sending tingles up her spine. 

He started slow, with one finger at first, caressing and stroking.

Then he went deeper and harder, with three fingers, sending shock waves to all 8,000 of her

When it was over, she almost forgot how to breathe. 

Austyn enjoyed the look of pure ecstasy on her face. ‘You like it?”

He tugged off his shirt. ‘My turn.” 

Kira was taken on her second rollercoaster ride of the night. 

When Kira awoke from her postcoital slumber, she found herself alone in bed. 

The sliding glass doors to the balcony were open. 

Austyn stood with his back to her, a glowing cigarette in his left hand. 

The bedroom was dark. 

The sun had gone down a long time ago. 

“What time is it?‘ Kira asked, her voice hoarse, 

Austyn turned back. 

His right hand went into his pocket. 

Kira glimpsed something in his hand. 

It was glossy paper, rectangular, about the size of a postcard. 

“What was that?‘ Kira asked. 

Austyn left the balcony and came to the foot of the bed. ‘Nothing.” 

A photo?” 

Austyn smiled slightly and did not answer. 

It was a photograph of Deborah. 

Though he had little experience in romantic relationships, he knew better than talk about his old flame to his current one.

Kira narrowed her eyes, feeling suspicious. 

The man was hiding something. 

Austyn changed the subject. ‘Did you have fun? know you did. You almost drained my ba- 

‘Shut up!‘ Kira’s hands flew to her ears.

Austyn walked over to her with a smirk on his face. “Though I think I can go again. Ready Round Three?” 

Kira grabbed a pillow and flung it at him. ‘Get lost!‘ 

She was sitting up in bed. 

The cover had slipped down. 

She forgot she was not wearing a stitch. 

A wicked thought entered Austyn’s mind. 

If only he could keep her here, in bed, in their bedroom, forever. 

He could probably get two pairs of cuffs from Luca, the ones with long chains. 

She would be locked up and his, every glorious inch of her. 

Austyn shook his head. 

That was a crazy idea, even for him. 

He sat down on the edge of the bed, facing her. “Tell me about you and Liam.‘ 

He needed something else to occupy his mind. 

Nothing turned him off faster than the repulsive thought of his half–brother. 

Kira blinked. 

She took some time to process the question. 

When she understood what he was asking, she said slowly, ‘I was mugged on the street one day. The mugger took off with my bag. Liam was passing by. He helped me retrieve it. Even injured himself in the process. I was grateful, so we got to talking. Then we ran into each other a few times after that.‘ 

Suddenly remembering something, she asked, ‘Have you heard about the company Revency?‘ Austyn nodded. 

‘Their boss–I mean the president, not the CEO has never shown his face in public. There’re a lot of rumours flying around about the mystery man. Do you know who owns Revency?‘

‘Given the way you brought up the question, I would be pretty stupid if I can’t 

‘Yes, it’s him.‘ 

Austyn drummed a finger against the sheets. 

Liam must have returned to Stamford earlier than he thought. 

guess it’s Liam.‘ 

For him to build such a successful company from the ground up and to stay under the radar for so long, Liam must have had help. 

“How did you know Liam is Revency’s boss?‘ 

‘The M Group has business dealings with Revency. My colleague and I went to their office for a meeting. Didn’t you know about this?” 

Austyn shook his head. 

The M Group had more than 20 business divisions, with a CEO running each one. 

As the man at the helm, Austyn was involved in making the high–level decisions. 

He wouldn’t be expected to know every single project the company was running. 

‘I do now,‘ he said. ‘Go on.‘ 

‘Go on what? What else is there left to say?‘ 

‘How far did you and Liam get?‘ Austyn narrowed his eyes. ‘Did you two sleep together?” 

Kira’s eyes widened. 

She looked around for something else to throw and in the end, used her own pillow. 

It made zero impact. 

She caught sight of the water glass on the bedside table and reached for it. 

The bastard needed to be taught a lesson. 

Austyn clamped a hand around her slim wrist. 

Kira kicked out with her left leg. 

Austyn leaned over, trapping her under his arms, 

Kira eyed his throat, itching for a bite.

Austyn’s low voice sounded right next to her ear. 

He rested his head on her shoulder. 

‘Liam used the same trick on Deborah,‘ he murmured. ‘I was often away on missions. We 

rarely got to spend any time together. So Liam took advantage and wormed his way into her heart. And her bed.” 

Kira was both ill at ease and indignant. 

No woman wanted to be compared to her man’s ex. 

‘Just because she betrayed you, you think I’m going to do the same? You’re either paranoid or you have no faith in me. Do you think I’ll jump into bed with whoever flirts with me?”
