Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 366

But in an instant, Celeste spotted the flaw.

She had specifically chosen this coffee shop precisely because it only had one security camera, and it was installed by the entrance.

The shop was very large and usually packed, especially during meal times when it resembled a loud marketplace.

That day, she had even picked the innermost seat. Let alone hearing her conversation, just seeing her face clearly would be a miracle.

And the video currently playing on the television only showed her back; there was no way to confirm it was actually her.

The others noticed the problem as well.

Gideon and Lucas yelled at the top of their lungs, "Sienna, what are you trying to prove with such a blurry video?

Do you think finding a woman who looks like Celeste from the back and is also sitting in a wheelchair is enough?"

"Even if that is Celeste, the surrounding noise sounds like an argument, and you can't hear a word they're saying. What is the point of showing us this video?"

Sienna looked at their twisted, arrogant faces and smiled. "Who said I wanted you to look at them?"

Everyone froze.

Sienna's solitary, cold gaze glanced at the frowning Celeste, and she let out an icy laugh.

"What I want you to look at is this."

She pointed a finger at the top left corner of the screen, at a Pink BearCam on the counter, her pink lips parting slightly.

"This is a toy belonging to the shop owner's daughter. It has a recording function.

The exterior looks identical to a normal plush toy, but the lens is hidden in its eyes.

As long as there is movement, it triggers an automatic recording..."

As Sienna said this, her gaze swept over Celeste on the bed in a seemingly casual manner.

Celeste stared at the TV screen, forcing herself to remain calm.

The location of that little bear was exactly on the display cabinet next to where she had been sitting that day, barely a few feet away.

Now, as she observed quietly, she realized it.

There was a faint red light glowing where the bear's eyes were, clearly indicating it was actively recording.

Why hadn't she noticed this detail back then?
