The caller ID showed an unknown landline number.

Sienna frowned slightly and answered the call.

The voice on the other end was overly polite. "Hello, is this Ms. Sienna Sloan? You have a misdelivered package that was left at our restaurant. Could you please come pick it up?"

Sienna's frown deepened. "What package?"

"We aren't sure either."

Luna, sitting close by, lowered her voice. "Pick it up tomorrow? Our food isn't even out yet."

Sienna tapped her fingertips lightly on the table, her tone even. "I'm currently having a meal. Is it okay if I come by a little later to pick it up?"

"I am so sorry, ma'am."

The staff member's tone carried a hint of panic. "This package has no sender information and the packaging is very strange. None of us dare to touch it. It doesn't look safe, and we really shouldn't keep it here for too long. We have to ask you to come over as soon as possible."

The atmosphere in the private dining room stalled at those words.

Sienna's gaze darkened.

Years of trailing the SWAT team to crime scenes had sharpened her senses, giving her a cautious edge when it came to suspicious items.

The caller sounded genuine, not like they were playing a prank.

If it really was a dangerous package, leaving it in a crowded restaurant was definitely a bad idea.

She looked at her two friends apologetically. "I need to head over there first. I should be back soon."

Luna immediately stood up. "I'll drive you."

"No need." Sienna waved her off. "Don't ruin your dinner. I'll just grab a cab; it'll be faster."

Unable to sway her, Luna and Thea had no choice but to agree.

Sienna said her goodbyes, walked out of the restaurant, and flagged down a taxi, heading straight for the address the caller had given.

She had been to this restaurant a few times before. It was known for its upscale vibe.

But today, it had clearly been specially decorated.

The lighting was soft, draped like a sheer veil over the room.
