Standing directly in front of Helena with her eyes slightly lowered, Sienna radiated a stifling dominance that made the older woman instinctively recoil.
"I'm just here to watch the show. I'm not standing in your way, am I?"
She paused, her gaze sliding down to the sapphire necklace tightly gripped in Helena's hands.
"Though, I have to admit, that necklace does look incredibly realistic," she remarked, a faint, mocking curve touching her lips. "If Ms. Carlyle were to monetize this particular set of skills, I imagine she'd make an absolute fortune."
Helena frowned, utterly baffled by the comment. "What are you talking about?"
"Exactly what it sounds like."
Retracting her gaze, Sienna strode straight toward the exit without another word.
As she passed Celeste, she didn't slow her pace, nor did she spare her a single glance.
But she could vividly feel the absolute venom radiating from Celeste, whose face had gone deathly pale as she glared daggers at Sienna's back.
Blinded by sheer vanity, Helena couldn't grasp the underlying gravity of Sienna's words, writing it off as nothing more than jealous bitterness.
With a dismissive scoff, she turned away, plunging right back into her euphoric delusion.
Meanwhile, Celeste, who had maintained her facade of gentle submissiveness the entire time, suddenly went completely rigid.
Her eyelashes trembled, and the sweet, manufactured smile on her lips shattered completely.
Others might have missed Sienna's blatant implication, but Celeste heard it loud and clear.
Sienna saw right through her.
She saw through the meticulously orchestrated script, saw through the entire long con she had spent years building.
Under the bright sunlight, Sienna's composed, elegant silhouette felt like a brutally clean mirror.
In an instant, it reflected every ounce of the dark, filthy scheming Celeste had been harboring in the shadows for years.
The mask of gentleness dissolved completely, replaced by an overwhelming, suffocating wave of murderous intent.
Sienna was too rational, too sharp, and far too merciless.
As long as that woman was in the picture, every single trap, every layer of her revenge, would always be compromised. Sienna could tear it all down with a single word.
The urge to eliminate Sienna dug deep into Celeste's mind, taking firm, unbreakable root.
