Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 470

Sienna spoke softly. "Ms. Bridges' injuries are quite unusual. Guard the door and don't let anyone disturb my treatment."

"Understood, Dr. Sloan."

The security guard nodded, turning to step outside while pulling the heavy fire door shut behind him.

Daisy realized something was wrong and instantly panicked. "What... what are you going to do?"

She tried to scramble backward, but her body refused to move.

Sienna's gaze landed on the wound on Daisy's forehead. "Why so worked up? Didn't you say you were severely injured, practically at death's door? If I don't help make your little act a bit more realistic, your precious Jarred will arrive to find your scratches already healed."

Daisy's eyes widened, the color completely draining from her face.

Seeing the shock in her eyes, Sienna offered a faint smile. "I guessed right, didn't I? Before this whole stunt even started, you already ran crying to Jarred."

Daisy remained silent.

She had texted Jarred, originally just wanting him to be the first to witness her miserable state.

She never expected things to spiral out of control like this.

Sienna had deliberately cleared out all the medical staff and onlookers. Now, even if she wanted to play the victim, there was no one around to bear witness.

Gathering her courage, Daisy looked Sienna straight in the eye. "What exactly do you want?"

Sienna shrugged nonchalantly. "With your current injuries, a little antibacterial spray and you'd be discharged immediately. You'd be walking perfectly fine before you even made it to the airport. Don't you want to stay by Jarred's side? This tiny scratch isn't going to keep him around."

Daisy gasped softly.

She saw a terrifying, icy edge surface in Sienna's usually aloof gaze.

Sienna leaned in close to her face. "The injuries aren't severe enough, and you don't look nearly pathetic enough. Let's wait a little longer. Once you're completely paralyzed, maybe Jarred will actually feel a bit more sorry for you."

Beads of cold sweat had already formed on Daisy's forehead.

She understood the underlying threat in Sienna's words, unable to hide the sheer terror spreading across her face.

"No, I don't want to wait... Get me a doctor."
