Betrayed by the Father Reborn in His Rival's Arms novel Chapter 100

Madeline thought to herself that since she was getting a divorce anyway, she was already entirely emotionally detached. No matter how brutally Lucius was beaten, she felt absolutely nothing.

All she wanted was the divorce papers signed.

Now that the punishment was over, Arthur's fury had somewhat subsided as he smoothed a hand over his chest.

Sensing her golden opportunity, Liliana quickly spoke up. "Arthur, you've beaten him and scolded him, but Lucius is still your grandson, and Leo is still your great-grandson..."

Her words instantly reignited Arthur's smoldering rage. "Who said Leo is my great-grandson?"

Liliana froze. The rest of the room stared in utter shock.

The paternity test was crystal clear: Leo was Lucius's biological son. Even Millicent couldn't help but intervene. "Arthur, the DNA results are undeniable. Besides, Lucius passed the bloodline checks himself."

Before naming the heir, Arthur, Alastair, and Lucius had undergone three separate rounds of genetic testing.

That was the only reason Millicent dared to speak up.

Liliana felt a surge of joy. With the grandmother chiming in, Arthur would surely have to save face. Since Leo was her son with Lucius, that made him the legitimate heir to the next generation, and as the confirmed mother, she had every right to ascend the social ladder.

But Arthur's booming voice crushed her dreams in an instant. "Leo is an illegitimate child born of an affair. I have instructed my lawyers to draft a relinquishment of parental rights. Once Lucius signs it, Leo will no longer be considered his son. The boy won't be tossed onto the streets; he will be kept at the old estate and raised as a mere ward. Legally, his status will be nullified. He will be stripped of all inheritance rights, and his existence will never be publicly acknowledged. From this day forward, no one needs to concern themselves with this child."

The declaration left the entire hall paralyzed.

Panic seized Liliana. "That... that's impossible! He is Lucius's biological son! You can't do this!"

She was utterly horrified by Arthur's ruthless verdict.

Leo was being completely disowned?

She must have heard it wrong. Nearing absolute hysteria, she shrieked, "Impossible! It's impossible! Impossible!"
