Draping a new set of clothes, which appeared a size bigger on his thin body, Xion came out of the bathroom. His gaze scanned the huge room in front of him.
There was a bed which looked quite comfortable to sleep on. At the very least, it was much better than the wooden frame he had been sleeping on the past few days.
Forget about the painful legs, even his waist had become stiff!
There was a set of chairs neatly placed around the wooden table in one corner. It must be to entertain the guests or to enjoy the tea.
Ironically, the only person who would enter this room other than him was Soren.
There was no way, Xion was going to entertain that bastard. Yet he had to bear with the humiliation.
His body instinctively shivered when he recalled Soren's deeds. Pressing his shirt closer to his body, his gaze drifted to the cupboard filled to brim with clothes.
One might think that at least he had enough clothes to wear. But it was all a facade.
Xion would still repeat the few sets of clothes he had picked from the pile of extremely radiant clothes.
Those vibrant designs might be the trend in this world, or someone was pulling a prank on him.
Xion's modern sense of fashion could not digest the hideous collection of such eye catching colors stitched together in just one piece of cloth.
Dragging his tired legs to the bed, he hummed a cartoon-themed song.
As he plopped on the bed, his body sank into the softness of the mattress. He sighed from the comfortable sensation he had missed until now.
Even if the bed was nothing compared to his supper fluffy mattress in the modern world, at the moment, it still brought him a sense of delight.
He pushed his body up, his hand moved where he had placed the food basket.
It was filled with freshly baked bread, some pieces of meat wrapped in cabbage leaves, and a bottle of juice of some fruit he had no idea about.
Xion finally enjoyed a hearty meal. Patting his slightly protruding stomach he plopped back on the bed.
Xion closed his eyes and summoned the Mall. This was the gift little Xion mentioned before disappearing.
Luckily, that was not the case for him. All he had to do was save a few more animals and then eat the pill before running away from this hellish Mansion.
Xion had noticed how the points would differ from animal to animal or even to human.
If he helped a human, he would have easily gained twenty points at once, but there were only Eli and Uncle Benzamin, who were worth helping and both never let him do anything.
While he was making his plan to run away, there were various noises spreading all around the corners of the huge mansion.
The guests had started arriving in full swing.
Just to accommodate all the nobles, the Marquis had renovated the east wing of the mansion where the guests would be staying.
To make it easier to take care of the guests, even Soren and the twins would be staying in the east wing, leaving the southern wing almost empty. This was also why Xion had decided to return to his room.
He would have the whole area to himself!
