Chapter 142: Put your hands on me

Leaving the bathroom, Kellen didn’t look anywhere but the brightly lit up area. He refused to make eye contact with anyone but Brent. He waved when he saw Kellen.

"You good?" He asked when he got close enough to see him. Kellen nodded, tossing the shake towards him. He caught it with a grin, before cracking it and chugging. He made a face after he finished. "Ugh. I hate vanilla." He protested and Kellen felt his lips quirk up. Izzy approached quietly, touching up under his eyes in the few minutes that they took to clear the shoot area.

"I’m not picky. Sorry, I didn’t realise you were." Brent gave Kellen the finger as Pamela took their empty shake containers from them. Izzy stepped away, and Brent and Kellen moved in front of the cameras. They gave them a lot of directions, and props this time. They gave them fake knives, guns and large batons. They even had fake foliage and rain fall on them during this shoot.

At one point Brent and Kellen found themselves topless, rained on, with their trench coats protecting them. They were supposed to be pretending to be in a gate.

"Perfect, perfect! Now, look at the camera like you want to kill it." Brent and Kellen did as they were directed, and one of the assistants squealed.

"We have to make that into a poster." There were mutterings of agreement while Brent and Kellen continued to do a couple more poses after that.

They finished with a pose where Brent pretended to be injured, while Kellen carried him, only he was looking at the camera winking, holding a finger to his lips, while Kellen was supposed to look desperate to get him to safety. That was also a hit with the crowd. It also helped that they were practically nude.

Brent left, and Kellen began his solo shoot without him. He hadn’t seen Brent’s shoot, so he had no idea what to expect from them. It certainly was them having them objectify himself so openly.

There were several shots of him covering his nipples, him having his own hands on his ass, and running them down his body. They also made him hold several weapons, rotating between making a crude joke with it, and being serious and threatening.

Pamela really pushed for a shot of Kellen pulling a gun out of his pants, with him holding a finger to his lips, as if telling someone to keep quiet.

They ended his solo shoot with Kellen in his trench coat, lying on a bench, head back, hand in his hair and one leg raised while rain fell on him. He was supposed to look at the camera like he was desperate, and honestly? It wasn’t a hard task for him. Pamela had a slightly flushed face as she called an end to his solo shoot.

Then, it was time for the Captain to join him again.

"Kellen, don’t get dressed yet. I want to take a photo similar to the butt grab one from before, but with the trench coat on. Finch, you’re going to throw the trench coat to the left with a gust of wind to reveal Captain Thatcher holding onto Kellen’s ass." He swallowed, nervous as Pamela barked out orders. The Espers didn’t try dry him off since Pamela wanted the weight of the trench coat to be heavier.

The Captain had his usual poker face smile on as they got into position. Kellen was wet, and he felt bad since he was only going to make him wet if he held him.

"Sorry." He muttered, not meeting his gaze. His heart clenched in his chest at his weak voice, and he wanted to kick himself. He had his hands tucked against his chest as the Captain wrapped his arms around him.

"Hmm?" He asked, and Kellen wasn’t sure if he didn’t hear him because he was too quiet, or if he wanted him to repeat it.

"Sorry for getting you wet." He clarified and he chuckled. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

"Oh. You don’t need to apologise for that." Kellen knew he probably didn’t mean it that way, but he took that as him meaning he had to apologise for something else. He shifted in his arms, and the Captain’s hands squeezed his ass harder. "Mr. Woods, stop squirming." His tone was tense, and Kellen flinched. He froze, an awful tangle of emotions in his gut. He nodded, ducking his head even further.

"Kellen, wrap your arms around the Captain’s neck. You’re too scrunched up." Fuck.

Kellen exhaled, gathering his best Guide exercises for calming the mind, and looked up at the Captain, wrapping his arms around his neck. He didn’t have to meet his gaze, but he couldn’t look like he hated being held by him. That would only make him feel worse.

"Oh fuck. I am so sorry. I’ve been so busy that I didn’t even-I’ve been a bad pair." Kellen felt his eyes widen at the Captain’s quietly whispered words and he jerked. He pushed his head away from his shoulder, not shaking off his possessive hold, and instead gripping onto his shoulders.

"No! You haven’t. I’ve been a bad pair. I shouldn’t take it out on you. Everyone is busy right now, and I hate thinking that I’m bothering you. I don’t want you to feel bad." The Captain’s face hardened at his words and he pulled their faces close together.

"You are never a bother, and you should be making me feel bad. You have no idea how to navigate our relationship, and I’m not trying to make you feel bad when I say that. You’ve practically never been in a relationship before, let alone a pair. How the fuck would you know how to manage your feelings about this? Fuck, I’m sorry Kellen. I trusted that you would be okay without checking in. Are you feeling better?" Having his hand on his skin was making him feel better, like earlier. Kellen nodded, feeling a little shy.

"I am, yeah." His smile was tender as he stared at him.

"Good." They stared at each other for a moment before someone cleared their throat.

"Uh, are you guys okay to keep shooting?" They both glanced at the onlookers to find several flushed faces. A wave of self awareness washed over Kellen and before he could try to wiggle out of his position, the Captain tightened his grip on his neck. He froze, like a kitten caught by an adult.

"We’re good to keep shooting." He told them with a grin. The photographer cleared her throat.

"Uh, since you two are our first pair, do you mind doing some more risque shots?" She asked and confusion washed over Kellen. Had they not been taking risque shots before?

The Captain glanced at Kellen, noticing his confused expression, before he grinned.

"Sure, why not?"
