Kellen placed his laptop on the table, gripping onto his cane tightly, he began to lower himself down.
The pain was hard to deal with, but he clenched his teeth, and felt like he was about to sit down when all three of the Espers around him got to their feet if they weren’t already.
Hill and Pamela were stone-faced, and a little pale, while the Captain grabbed him and shook his head vigorously.
"No." He told Kellen, who stared up at him with wide, confused eyes.
"It’s just-"
"You’re clenching your teeth so hard I can hear them, and you have sweat already forming on your face. No." He had no idea what Pamela and Hill were off doing, but Kellen couldn’t help but feel his heart sink. He glanced down, disappointed.
"But if I can’t sit next to you, we can’t have our little lunch date." Kellen muttered softly, and the Captain’s grip on him tightened.
"...Fuck." He exhaled, and Kellen flinched.
"Did I say-"
"Hush, you demon. I am trying to control myself." Rhys muttered aggressively, and Kellen’s worry washed away. He was trying not to pounce on him, and Kellen appreciated it. Sighing, Kellen bent his head, pressing it against the Captain’s chest while the man held him. The feel of his body heat through the simple touch relaxed him.
"What do you think Hill and Pamela are doing?" He asked, and the Captain sighed.
"Either they are going to rip a strip off of Green, or they are grabbing pillows. They might have divided and conquered honestly." Kellen furrowed his brows.
"But Taylor not being able to heal me is my problem. Completely. I’m the one who chased away so many Guides." Kellen said, and Rhys sighed.
"Well, we didn’t want any of those fucking leeches anyways, but yes, if you wanted to blame yourself, you could look at it that way." A snort sounded from somewhere in the room, and Kellen raised his head to see if he could find the culprit. He couldn’t. "Now, they’ve brought us our food. I’m going to wheel it in, so you stay here. No sitting down without assistance. If I find you sitting down, I am going to punish you Kellen." A shiver went down his spine.
"W-What?" Kellen whispered, unsure if he’d heard him correctly, and Rhys grinned at him. Kellen watched as his eyes dipped into gold, a warning sign if he’d ever saw one.
"You heard me. Now be a good boy and stay standing." Flushing bright red, Kellen had lost the ability to speak as the Captain sauntered away, pleased as punch at getting such a reaction out of Kellen.
Kellen, embarrassed, could feel the stares on him now that the Captain left. Fuck. That was so embarrassing. How could the Captain say those things? It clearly evoked some kind of reaction from everyone, and Kellen knew that the gossip around the Guild would only get worse with that.
Kellen was aiming for a sweet moment, not whatever the Captain was aiming for!
Rhys came back, pushing the trolley that had been given to him overloaded with trays of food for a normal Esper, but was a slightly above average meal for Kellen. He was whistling, a happy smile on his face as Kellen was still the colour of a tomato.
"You are a pervert." Kellen declared hotly, and Rhys’ eyes crinkled at the corners with his smile. He bent and pressed a kiss against Kellen’s temple again, a shit-eating grin on his face.
"Whatever you say, Mr. Woods. Now, I’ve thought of a way I will accept this, but you have to listen to me, alright?" Kellen had a feeling he knew where this was going, and feeling slightly annoyed, he wanted to burst his bubble.
"You want me to sit in your lap, don’t you?" Rhys froze, blinking, before he laughed.
"Oh shoot. You knew exactly where I was going with this." Kellen glanced around the room, avoiding those dancing yellow eyes of his.
"You aren’t exactly trying to hide your intentions, and I’m not an idiot." Kellen told him, and Rhys chuckled.
"I know you aren’t. You are a very smart man, and I am lucky to have you." Rhys declared, and now Kellen felt even more embarrassed. Rhys loved declaring in front of others, and Kellen should have known that.
The man was a Captain of a Guild for several reasons, but one had to be to show off. All Espers liked to do that, but S Classes were the most notorious for it. He also should have paid attention since it wasn’t like the Captain had been hiding this aspect of himself.
He’d been doing it the whole time. Between the kiss in the hallway, the elevator, declaring their relationship in the gym. Just...all of it until this point. The press conference, for goodness sake!
"You let me know when you’re ready for me to start." Rhys whispered, and for some reason, Kellen’s heart started to race in his chest.
"Um, just let me get my documents open, and then I guess-" Rhys cut Kellen off, getting ready with his first bite.
"Perfect, I’ll be ready." Kellen wanted to shake his head, but had a feeling that wouldn’t be taken well, so instead, he set about getting ready to work. Why did this feel...maybe he should have listened to Rhys and gone to another room.
No. If he had, they wouldn’t have ended up eating. At least, Kellen was pretty sure. He felt a little too...handsy right now. After all, he was the one who had encouraged them to use the last half an hour he had on the guiding room. It hadn’t been the Captain.
"Mr. Woods, are you stalling?" Kellen blinked at Rhys’ soft whisper, and shook himself.
"N-No. Just, lost in thought." Kellen muttered quickly, getting to work on pulling everything up. He had kind of hoped that Pamela was going to be here the whole time since he needed to go over the background check stuff with her, but that was okay. He could always just send her an-
"Open wide, Mr. Woods." Rhys’ soft words nearly gave Kellen a heart attack. He glanced at him, and found Rhys so beyond happy that he couldn’t even say anything negative. So, he opened his mouth, and Rhys slid the fork into his mouth. Kellen closed his lips around it, and Rhys pulled the fork out slowly.
Kellen’s heart nearly jumped out of his chest.
This was nothing like the other time that Rhys had fed him. This felt a little too...intentional.
"Good job Mr. Woods. Make sure to swallow." Kellen felt his hands begin to tremble, and knew his face was red. There was going to be no way to escape this.
He’d thought he’d been the one seducing Rhys, but he should have known better.
He’d walked right into a trap. And now, he had about an hour of this torture. And Rhys was soo happy about it that he couldn’t even get up and storm off.
Hell, the man had moved his cane away so he truly couldn’t escape until all of the food was gone. Fuck.
