Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 368

“What did Kate tell you?” Catherine’s expression darkened. “Or was it Julian?”

“You just don’t understand.”

Isabel didn’t understand, nor did she want to.

She didn’t care about the love story between Catherine, Kate, and Harold.

All she wanted now was a divorce.

“Since they’ve already told you,” Catherine said, unwilling to drop the subject, “then you should know what Harold used to do for a living.”

“His line of work wasn’t suitable for having children. A child would have been a liability. But Kate, whose family background was a world away from Harold’s, insisted on having the baby.”

“If she hadn’t been so selfish, Harold wouldn’t be dead.”

Isabel figured all the Blackwells operated on their own brand of logic.

A logic that only ever served them.

It was Catherine who had failed to win Harold’s love and had disrupted the lives of his family.

She had made Kate a widow and Julian fatherless.

And yet here she was, dramatically blaming herself while painting herself as the victim.

Isabel couldn’t help but speak up. “Weren’t you the one who brought Harold’s killers to him?”

“You say Kate and Harold came from different worlds, but what about you and Harold? Weren’t you the same?”

“You were just jealous and bitter. You couldn’t stand that Harold chose Kate over you, even though you both came from similar backgrounds. You hated that he wanted to have a child with her, that he was even planning a future with them.”

Catherine completely lost control. She raised her hand to strike Isabel, but her wrist was caught in a firm grip.

She looked over and saw Adrian, who had approached them at some point.

“Didn’t you hear what she said?”

“She’s not wrong,” Adrian said coolly, shoving her hand away and stepping in front of Isabel. “You have a husband and a child now. Your son is a teenager, at a sensitive age. As his mother, is this the example you want to set? Abandoning your family?”

“When did I ever say I was abandoning my family?” Catherine’s eyes were red. “I never once thought about getting a divorce.”

Her voice choked with emotion. “I did it all for you…”

“You did it so you could win against Kate. You couldn’t accept that Harold loved her and not you. You got him killed, but you don’t have the guts to admit it, so you stand here putting on a brave face and making up grandiose excuses.”

“Adrian!” Catherine was livid. “I’m your sister!”
