Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 406

On second thought, Adrian had Daniel call a doctor over to stitch up the wound on his right hand after all.

The doctor was more emotional than he was, but couldn't help but sigh. “Mr. Blackwell, your tendons are severed. The wound will heal, but you won't even be able to hold a pen with your right hand anymore.”

“It’s fine,” Adrian thought. He had already made so many mistakes and was no longer worthy of Isabel. If he became disabled on top of that, he wouldn’t even have a chance to pursue her.

He was still a little unwilling to let go.

Losing the use of his right hand was fine, as long as the arm was still there.

“Are you eating here?” Adrian asked Oliver.

Oliver hadn’t even put down his schoolbag. “No, I came to see you like Mom said. I’m going to have dinner with her.”

“It’s not even easy for me to have dinner with Mom these days.”

“I’m going now, Dad.” He waved. “I’ll be back tomorrow.”

He turned and left before Adrian even had a chance to wave back.

Adrian was left in silence.

Daniel spoke up to ease the slightly awkward atmosphere. “Oliver has changed a lot recently.”

Adrian grunted in agreement. “She’s better at raising children. If I hadn’t interfered back then, he wouldn't have broken her heart.”

He knew that giving birth was dangerous, and that carrying a child for nine months was difficult.

But he could never truly understand her experience. He had even been so preoccupied with his own affairs during her pregnancy that he had completely neglected her.

When her life was on the line during childbirth, Selena had a medical emergency, and he truly couldn’t make it back.

He knew his grandmother would be there.

His grandmother adored her.

But in the end, time had waited for no one.

Some things in the past could never be made up for, no matter how much he wanted to.

Old Mrs. Blackwell was shocked again. “You’ll really go through with it? You won’t back out?”

“I won’t,” Adrian said. “This time, I’ll keep my word.”

“I will do what I promised her.”

Old Mrs. Blackwell felt that her decision not to interfere had been the right one.

Oliver was now developing in a positive direction, and Adrian had recognized his own faults.

Still, the Blackwell family was a complete mess.

“Your mother… she was pushed over the edge by your father. You should try to talk to her, tell her to stop fighting him. Otherwise, she’s going to have a breakdown. The Blackwell family truly wronged her in this matter.”

Adrian said, “I’ve already sent her to therapy. If she wants a divorce, I can help with that too.”

Old Mrs. Blackwell knew her grandson was capable. She asked, “Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?”
