"Let's drop the subject and talk about the promotional campaign for after the movie wraps. I plan to step down from The Sinclair Group completely and focus entirely on running my production company once Julian is back on his feet."
That way, he could continue to watch over and protect Rosamund.
That was York's ultimate goal.
Beasley looked indifferent. "It's your company. You make the call."
"Aren't you going to offer any advice?"
"I'm busy."
That single phrase spoke volumes.

That evening, Willow ordered a birthday cake for Waller and cooked an entire feast to make up for missing his birthday.
"If I weren't so worried about blowing our cover, I'd invite Lettie, Dr. Lockwood, and the rest of the crew over," Willow said, looking at the massive spread and the huge cake, feeling a bit conflicted.
"If we can't finish it tonight, I'll just eat the leftovers tomorrow," Waller replied deadpan.
The others could celebrate with Willow on Wednesday, but tonight, she was his alone.
"Alright, let me snap a picture for Instagram first." Willow hadn't forgotten Waller's suggestion from that afternoon.
Waller nodded, offering another idea. "After we eat, you can cut the cake and I'll take a photo of you."
Willow smiled brightly at him. "Sounds like a plan."
By the time dinner wrapped up, it was already pushing seven-thirty.
Normally, Waller would leave right after eating.
But tonight was special. They still needed to eat the cake, take photos, and post their little romantic showcase online, so he ended up staying until well past eight o'clock.
When Beasley left the bar, Terence drove him back to Opal Residences, arriving right around the same time.
Sitting in the back seat, Beasley stared at an email notification that had just popped up on his phone. After a long internal struggle, he finally opened it.
Just as he feared, the attached image showed Waller walking out of Willow's building.
The man had stayed that late on a weekend?
Xander rushed over the second he got the call.
When he pulled up to Opal Residences, he found Beasley still sitting in the back of the car.
The moment he opened the door, the heavy stench of alcohol hit him.
Like Terence, he rarely saw Beasley intoxicated.
After all, who would ever have the guts to pressure Beasley into drinking?
Just as Xander opened his mouth to ask if he was alright, Beasley suddenly opened his eyes.
"What are you doing here?" the man asked, his voice even rougher than before.
"Terence called and said you'd had a bit too much to drink," Xander answered honestly. "I figured the house wouldn't have anything for a hangover, so I took the liberty of bringing some medication. Just take it with some warm water."
Let alone hangover pills, the house at Opal Residences didn't even have live-in staff or a maid. A cleaning service only came by on a schedule.
"Help me upstairs." Beasley pinched the bridge of his nose. He suddenly couldn't stand the smell of booze on himself; he needed to get inside and shower.
He really was drunk, needing someone to physically support him just to make it up the stairs.
