Sitting in his study, Beasley typed out a message on his phone, only to delete it.
He went back and forth over a dozen times, but in the end, he never sent it.
Because right now, under these circumstances, any words would just seem pathetic and hollow.
He only had one chance left.
And he had to make it count.

Another person suffering immensely this past month was Alistair.
He had originally planned to pursue Willow to cover up certain things and distract Beasley.
Instead, she had blocked his number.
He tried calling her from a landline, but the second she heard his voice, she hung up and blocked that number too.
Since calling was useless, he considered tracking her down in person. Unfortunately, he didn't know her new address. He threw some money at private investigators, but they came up empty-handed.
It was as if she had vanished off the face of the earth. He had no way to reach her.
Was Beasley behind this? Was that why he couldn't find her address?
The thought filled Alistair with dread. Yet, an entire month had passed, and everything seemed quiet.
Beasley hadn't come looking for him, nor had he messed with his job.
It was eerily quiet.
But he didn't dare discuss it with Rosamund, terrified that it was just a trap to flush him out.
Afraid to make a move, Alistair watched as the days slowly ticked by until Wednesday arrived.
He knew that Rosamund's movie crew was hosting a massive wrap party that evening, and Beasley would be there.
Considering Beasley had invested a billion dollars into the film, his attendance was expected.
Catching wind of this, the media swarmed the event. Hundreds of outlets showed up, making it an absolute spectacle.
The party was held at a five-star hotel owned by Windsor & Co.
Alistair didn't dare show his face, so he kept his eyes glued to the internet, obsessively refreshing for updates on the event.
The only comforting thing was that the police seemed to have dropped the investigation into Zoe's case.
The people who needed to go to jail were already locked up. There really wasn't anything left to investigate.
Tonight, she was going to be the absolute center of attention.
Thinking about this finally cured the bad mood she had been in for the past two days.
"Rosa, you look stunning tonight!"
Inside Rosamund's private dressing room, her eager little follower Evelyn said all the right things to put a smile on her face.
"Thank you, you look gorgeous too," Rosamund returned the compliment gracefully.
Evelyn linked arms with her affectionately. "I heard the TV adaptation is wrapping up this weekend too. But man, same story, totally different treatment. That rundown crew isn't getting a massive wrap party like ours. I doubt any media will even bother showing up when they're done."
The media hadn't reported on Beasley's additional investment into the TV adaptation, so Evelyn had no idea.
To keep it from messing with her acting, York had hidden it from Rosamund as well.
As a result, she was completely in the dark.
