Bride behind the mask novel (Marguerite) novel Chapter 677

Yuna's eyes widened in sheer terror!

She watched, frozen, as Penelope slowly strode toward her, her legs involuntarily backing away.

What's going on?

She's alive?

Penelope is actually alive?

She had seen with her own eyes Penelope's car plummeting off the cliff!

The ice on the river was so solid, yet it was smashed into a gaping hole!

How could she possibly still be alive?

She kept retreating, and although Penelope was clearly ten meters away, Yuna could somehow hear her ethereal voice, crystal clear.

"Yuna, I've come for you~"

Goosebumps sprang up all over Yuna's body, sending shivers down her spine.

She knew it was just her imagination, but it felt so real!

In a panic, she closed her eyes, then snapped them open.

Suddenly, Penelope was right in front of her, her skeletal arm reaching out swiftly.

"Ah—Ahhhh!"

Unable to hold back any longer, Yuna screamed at the top of her lungs, collapsing to the ground. To her horror, she saw Penelope's bloodstained white dress revealing hovering, bone-white legs.

She had floated over!

"Don't come any closer! Stay away from me!"

A chill swept over Yuna, inch by inch. She screamed for help, drawing the attention of all the guests who looked at her with strange glances.

Robert pushed through the crowd, raising his voice in annoyance:

"What's your deal now? If you don’t want to be here, just get lost!"

Yuna, seeing him as her last hope, scrambled up and threw herself into Robert's arms.

"Robert! I saw Mom!"

Robert froze for a second, then disgustedly pushed Yuna away, still naively thinking Penelope might have been found and was alive.

"Where's Mom?"

Marguerite was baffled.

Yuna hallucinating?

In broad daylight, how could that be possible?

Robert really didn't want to deal with Yuna, but remembering she was his sister and considering the presence of many guests, he thought of giving her an out.

"Have you been drinking?"

Yuna shook her head vigorously, "I haven’t! I swear I haven’t!"

"Did you eat anything?"

"No! I wasn’t hungry when you all were eating. I haven’t even had a sip of water today!"

Some of the guests got curious: "Yuna, think again, did you really not eat anything?"

Yuna felt like her head was about to explode. Suddenly, she lifted her head, scanned the room, and her gaze fixed on Violet.

With anger flashing in her eyes, she marched over to Violet, grabbed her arm, and accused:

"I had the vitamins she gave me! Yes! It was her!"
