Bride behind the mask novel (Marguerite) novel Chapter 679

Fred had planned to pay his respects tomorrow, but a trip to Poppy Petal Fragrances informed him that Marguerite was at the funeral home.

Worried, and with the police clearance certificate for Robert still undelivered, he decided to wrap up work early to check on Marguerite and pass on the document.

But the moment he stepped out of his car, he was met with Yuna's shrill accusations.

Seeing Marguerite misunderstood by everyone, Fred lost it and hurled the folder at Yuna.

His sudden fury silenced Yuna instantly. She stuttered, her eyes downcast, attempting to look pitiful.

"I hadn't seen the clearance from the police for Marguerite before," she mumbled.

Fred struggled to keep his composure, the fire in his eyes barely contained.

"It's not too late to see it now."

Yuna, begrudgingly accepting the situation, saw the tide of public opinion turning and quickly retorted, "Even if Marguerite had nothing to do with my mom's car accident, the fact that she drugged me today is irrefutable! I had hallucinations, everyone saw!"

Fred frowned, his dark eyes turning to Robert, demanding, "What's going on here?"

Robert, looking equally frustrated, explained everything from start to finish.

By this time, Yuna had fully recovered.

The guests, having witnessed their fair share of drama, dispersed at Robert's urging.

With the main actors gone, the crowd's interest waned.

As the trio headed to the parking lot, Yuna rolled her eyes and made a beeline for the passenger seat.

Marguerite noticed Fred's gaze turning icy and took his arm, shaking her head, "Let her have it. After all, her chances of riding shotgun with you are dwindling."

Lately, it was becoming clear that Yuna and Fred were on the brink of separation.

Even Yuna's desperate attempts to use a potential pregnancy to hold onto him seemed futile.
