Suddenly, Marguerite was stopped in her tracks.
The thought of revealing the truth to Frederick filled her with unparalleled joy.
Yet everything was happening so fast, it caught Marguerite off guard.
She took a deep breath, her eyes wide with excitement and disbelief, "Off to Veracoria? But I haven't even packed."
Penelope patted Marguerite's hand gently, "What do you need to pack for? Just go! You can pick up whatever you need there. Do you think Frederick would leave you hanging?"
"But my passport is still at the office."
Penelope glanced over at Violet, who immediately pulled out a passport and a plane ticket from her bag and handed them to Marguerite.
"Marguerite, I grabbed your passport last night."
So, everything was set except for the east wind?
Penelope took Marguerite's hand again, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Under normal circumstances, I'd accompany you there. But I've got some things to take care of at home."
As she said this, Penelope's gaze drifted unintentionally towards Hackett.
Marguerite knew it was time to settle her tumultuous past with Hackett.
"Go, Marguerite. I've prepared everything for you. It's all up to you now. Once you're on the plane, I'll arrange for Chuck to pick you up, but I won't tell him what happened. You'll have to be the one to tell Frederick everything, alright?"
Marguerite nodded, "I understand."
"Don't be nervous," Penelope said, nudging Marguerite towards the airport's entrance.
Soon, Violet drove Marguerite to the international airport.
As soon as she got out of the car, Miley came running from another vehicle towards Marguerite, "Wait, Marguerite!"
Suddenly, she had a mother and had found her son.
And that one-night stand she'd rather forget turned out to be with the man she loved most.
All these revelations hit her at once, making everything seem surreal.
She gently touched Hayes's portrait and the paternity test of Teresa and Frederick, unsure of how to broach the subject with Frederick.
Sighing softly, she leaned back in her plush seat and turned to look out the window.
The plane had ascended above the horizon into the sky.
The brilliant sunshine illuminated Marguerite's smiling, delicate face, and her heart began to race with excitement.
No matter what, she was finally going to reveal all to Frederick. After that, there should be nothing left to stand in their way, right?
