Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon) novel Chapter 108

"You, get out!" Simon snapped.

Alex quickly left the office.

Outside, the seamstresses snickered. "Alex got scolded again?"

Alex said nothing as he returned to his office, his expression cold.

Back when Janice was in charge, she always focused on solving problems first, and he simply had to coordinate accordingly. But Simon only knew how to yell at people. If Alex tried to say anything, it would only make Simon angrier. It was utterly frustrating!

Not long after, Simon finally relaxed because he had just secured a crochet piece from Heidi. She said it had already been shipped and would arrive soon.

With Heidi's work in hand, how could he not get new orders?

"Mr. Fitzgerald?" Caspian Holt, the head of marketing, was summoned to his office.

Simon instructed, "Spread the word and start promoting it—tell everyone that Refined Threads Co. is about to release a major piece, which will be incorporated into various products. Guide the narrative toward an internationally renowned crochet master. Make the buzz as big as possible. Do you understand?"

"When should we release it?" Caspian asked.

Simon thought for a moment. "On the day of the Winter Tournament."

That was tomorrow!

It was a rush job, which meant another long night of overtime loomed ahead.

Caspian left with a sullen expression.

Amelia had just snuck out of the hospital, hoping to treat herself to a meal at a high-end restaurant, when someone recognized her.

"Mrs. Fitzgerald? You're Mrs. Fitzgerald, aren't you?"

Amelia quickly covered her face. "I—"

Terry glanced at her and nodded slowly. "It's cold outside, isn't it?"

"It wasn't too bad. We were in the car the whole way."

Janice wasn't sure if Edward's family had heard about the recent events, so she didn't initiate any conversation.

But after a while, she realized that the elders seemed to simply want to share a meal with them—nothing more.

Before dinner, Terry had said to Myra, "Let's not bring it up in front of the kids. I've contacted the National Crochet Union and asked them to reach out to Shirley. Pick a time to invite the Ryan family over for a meal."

They would do a face-to-face confirmation of identity.

After all, words alone meant nothing.

Myra agreed with the plan, saying, "But Shirley is known to be very secretive. She hasn't appeared in public since her last competition."

Terry remained calm. "That's fine. Even if she sends an assistant, it'll be enough to verify the truth. Besides, doesn't Shirley have an official WhatsApp account? Text her in front of Heidi. If Heidi has been lying, the truth will come out on its own."
