“What’s on your mind?” Riley asked.”

“I just… I got so excited by the rewards earlier that I think Lmessed up. My boxes were different, and I don’t think I have a Class Change Card.”
“You want one?” Riley flicked her spare card.
“Yes! Please!” Tartking nodded so hard her curls bounced.
“I’ll trade you a Room Upgrade Card for it. It says it raises a designated room by one level.”
Riley didn’t agree immediately. Instead, she acted hesitant.
Even though she’d planned to give the spare card to TartKing anyway, she wanted to teach her a small lesson.
Tartking was too honest and simple–minded. While she was reliable, her lack of cynicism worried Riley. She didn’t want to spoil her to the point where she couldn’t handle herself.
“Fine. One Class Card for one Room Upgrade Card. But don’t be so reckless next time. Not everyone is going to baby you like I do.” Riley handed her the card.
Honestly, Riley was curious about the upgrade card. Value–wise, one upgrade card was worth two class cards. Riley wanted to see if it would work on her workshop back home.
TartKing nodded vigorously, accepting the card while handing over Ker upgrade card.
“I know, Riley! I just got blinded by the loot for a second!”
TartKing looked at her options and chose “Priest” immediately.
“I’m not great at fighting anyway, I’m better at support. Plus, I love the idea of just… zap! And everyone is healed!” Tartking threw a tiny punch.
A second later.
Two pillars of light enveloped them.
“System: Class Change successful!”
“Congratulations to SpicyBurger for becoming a Tier 1 Class: Warrior (Junior).”
“All attributes +3,”
“Obtained Class Skill: Power Strike – Consumes stamina to increase next weapon hit to 150% damage. Cooldown: 10s.”
“Obtained Class Passive: Weapon proficiency increased by 10%.”
“As you level up, more class skills will unlock.”
“Stored Experience distributed. Current Level: 14. All attributes +4,”

Riley clenched her fist.
A warm current flooded her body, her bones and muscles feeling like they had been forged anew.
The class change gave +3 to all stats!
That was huge. Normally, you only got 1 point per level. This was effectively three levels worth of stats in an instant, plus the points from her actual level–up.
“Strength: 32+2+2+3+4=43”
“Agility: 21+3+1=25+2+3+4=34”
“Constitution: 21+4+3+1+2+3+4=38 (HP: 380)”
On the other side, the change in TartKing was even more dramatic.
The blue–tier Wizard’s Focus Robe she was wearing began to resonate with the light, emitting a soft, milky–white glow.
“System: Congratulations to player TartKing for becoming a Tier 1 Class: Priest (Apprentice).”
“All attributes +1.”
“New Special Stat: Mana Affinity +3.
“Obtained Class Skills: Lesser Heal, Blessing of Light.”
“Woah…”
TartKing held out her hands, watching a small ball of white light/dance in her palm.
“Riley, look at my stats!” Tartking showed her the screen excitedly.
Riley scanned it, her eyes stopping on the new entry.
“Mana Affinity: 6 (Class +3, Robe +3)”
“Description: This is the soul parameter for casters. The higher the affinity, the stronger the power, range, and duration of magic. Each point provides a percentage modifier to the final magical effect.”
“So that’s what ‘Mana Affinity‘ on the robe meant.”
Riley understood now.
Before TartKing changed classes, she didn’t have a mana pool, so the stat was grayed out. Now that she was a Priest, it was a direct boost to her power!
