Chapter 206 The Black Seed

Riley pointed to a small, empty comer near the entrance of the main house.

“Let’s put an open-concept kitchen right here!”

Following Riley’s orders, the treant began scurrying around; with Riley using the home system to reposition furniture, efficiency was through the root.

In just one hour, all the structural and heavy interior renovations were complete.

Riley stood in the center of the brand-new Central Hall, looking around at her handiwork.

By cor necting the three separate structures, she had created a spacious, bright, and well-organized mini-mansion.

The hall spanned over 320 square feet, completely covered in thick animal-hide rugs.

Above her hung the Gothic Crystal Chandelier, and the wall featured the Enchanted Hearth burning with its unique blue-gold

flame.

To her left, an arched portal led to the stylized Pet Sunroom.

The corridor to the right led to two clean Guest Rooms and a shared bathroom.

Directly ahead was Riley’s private sanctuary-the Master Suite.

Even the kitchen by the door featured the Multifunctional Cooking Station Riley had looted, and though there was no running water yet, the cozy vibe was at maximum.

Riley collapsed onto the sofa in the center of the hall, feeling like her body was melting into the cushions.

“Chirp!”Ash let out a series of happy chirps, clearly thrilled with his new living quarters.

He rolled wildly across the new wool carpet before fluttering his wings to land on a high perch specially built for him, looking down with a regal, albeit infant-like, dignity.

The little treant seemed equally satisfied with the arrangement.

It planted itself into the indoor flower bed and pulled several Glow-grass seeds from its pocket, which Riley had provided earlier.

“Oh, wait!”

Riley suddenly remembered a loose end from her inventory.

She dug into the corner of her bag and pulled out the “blind box” that had shown zero progress for ages.

Strange Black Seeds

She’d acquired these plants a while ago and kept them in small pots under black cloths, but their growth was stagnant and they looked almost lifeless.

“Since we have a sunroom and a professional gardener now…”

Chapter 206 The Black Seed

Riley carried the three black flowerpots into the Pet Sunroom,

“Time for a side hustle’s

The treant opened its eyes, looking curiously at the pots in Riley’s hands.

The moment its gaze met those three black plants, its normally dull, acorn like eyes widened into perfect circles.

It scurried to the pots, the leaves on its head trembling violently with excitement.

It reached out a twig-like finger, gently brushing the surface of a black leaf.

The once-deadly still black plant seemed to respond to a primal call, its leaves stretching outward ever so slightly

“You think they’re special too?” Riley asked, observing its reaction.

The treant gave a heavy, solemn nod.

“I was planning to leave them in your care anyway; are you up for it?”

The treant nodded again without hesitation.

It took the cultivation pots, knelt down, and pressed its wooden hands into the soil of the indoor flower bed.

Under the infusion of its green mana, the ordinary black dirt began to churn and darken into a rich, deep fertile soil.

It carefully removed the three black plants from their old pots and nestled them into the exact center of the bed.

A miracle unfolded right then and there.

The moment they touched the new soil, the three plants reacted as if they had found an oasis in a desert; their wilted leaves snapped upright and they grew an entire inch taller.

Faint ripples of energy began to form around them, causing Ash to hop over and sniff them before sneezing in distaste and fluttering away.

Riley watched the scene, nodding in quiet satisfaction.

She had no idea what these seeds would eventually become, but with the treant watching over them, nothing should go wrong.

With that task finished, Riley checked the Trade Channel; after hours of auto-trading, all the basic materials were in, leaving only one Green Life Crystal missing for her gear.
