Squad two and three Tanks, move tip! Keep her pinned! Senders, spread out! Kite hex with Ice Spikes and Slowing Arrows!

The command was professional and precise,

The wavering formation snapped back into place instantly.

Three heavyshield Tanks moved in a pincer, cutting off Riley’s potential routes for a Charge.

Behind them, two Priests began cycling potions to keep the front line healthy.

On the wastes, a Priest’s healing wasn’t a numerical UI popup; it provided a visible recovery of vital signs.

The real threat, however, was the flanks.

Four archers and a Frost Mage had opened the distance, taking cover behind the scattered boulders.

Whiz! Whiz! Whiz!

The first volley of arrows arched through the air.

They were aimed at PineappleBeer, but she was immune to ranged damage while channeling. The bolts and magic simply dissipated harmlessly.

The second volley adjusted their sights to Riley.

Riley’s eyes narrowed as she shifted her weight, twisting her body to avoid the lethals. A stray arrow grazed her shoulder, drawing a line of crimson beads.

These people were treating her like a raid boss.

Riley bit her lip, the predatory glint in her eyes intensifying.

She ignored the Tanksharassment, her body turning into a blur as she used the center Tank’s shield as a literal stepping stone to launch herself!

She performed a somersault in midair, swapping back to her arbalest and firing a bolt at the Frost Mage midincantation!

Squelch!

The mage’s Mana Shield shattered instantly, the impact throwing him backward into the snow.

Dammit! Block her! Don’t let her touch the backline!

Holy Judgement barked frantically.

Shield Bash! Taunt her!

The three Tanks weren’t useless. One reacted with a Shield Bash, slamming it down where Riley was set to land.

Boom!

Chapter 244 The Siege of Twy

Snow sprayed everywhere.

Riley managed to block with her axes, but the impact forced her into a staggered stumble.

immediately, a rain of skills followed.

Fireballs, Ice Spikes, Poison Arrows, and a Warrior’s Cleave hammered toward her.

Despite her tiershattering stats, Riley wasn’t invincible. In a field of constant AoE skills, the time it took her to kill one person was enough for three others to land hits.

The battle ground into a stalemate.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Riley’s axes were a wall of steel. An Assassin tried to slip behind her, but she severed his dagger with a backswing and kicked him twenty feet away.

But she was paying the price; her gear durability began to dip noticeably from the sheer volume of combat.

Even with her high HP regen, the frequency of the incoming damage was overwhelming.

Especially that Frost Magehe was wounded but kept taking potshots from the back.

Frost Shackle!

A blue ring of ice exploded beneath Riley’s feet.

Her legs felt like they were encased in lead, her movement speed dropping by 30% instantly.

Opening! Focus her down!

Holy_Judgement’s eyes lit up with predatory glee.

All melee, swarm her! Don’t give her a second to breathe!

Ranged, go full auto! Burn every arrow!

In an instant, a kaleidoscope of skill effects threatened to bury Riley.

Riley was forced to trigger her Cloak of Vitality skillVitality Shield.

Hummm-

A translucent green dome of light enveloped her, absorbing the lethal burst of energy.

But under the relentless barrage, the shield only lasted three seconds before shattering.

Huffhuff.

Riley panted, her back against a boulder as she used the brief lineofsight break to catch her breath.

These guysaren’t half bad.
