The wavering formation snapped back into place instantly.

Three heavy–shield Tanks moved in a pincer, cutting off Riley’s potential routes for a Charge.

Behind them, two Priests began cycling potions to keep the front line healthy.

On the wastes, a Priest’s healing wasn’t a numerical UI pop–up; it provided a visible recovery of vital signs.

The real threat, however, was the flanks.

Four archers and a Frost Mage had opened the distance, taking cover behind the scattered boulders.

The first volley of arrows arched through the air.

They were aimed at PineappleBeer, but she was immune to ranged damage while channeling. The bolts and magic simply dissipated harmlessly.

The second volley adjusted their sights to Riley.

These people were treating her like a raid boss.

Riley bit her lip, the predatory glint in her eyes intensifying.

She ignored the Tanks‘ harassment, her body turning into a blur as she used the center Tank’s shield as a literal stepping stone to launch herself!

She performed a somersault in mid–air, swapping back to her arbalest and firing a bolt at the Frost Mage mid–incantation!

The mage’s Mana Shield shattered instantly, the impact throwing him backward into the snow.

“Dammit! Block her! Don’t let her touch the backline!”

Holy Judgement barked frantically.

“Shield Bash! Taunt her!”

The three Tanks weren’t useless. One reacted with a Shield Bash, slamming it down where Riley was set to land.

Riley managed to block with her axes, but the impact forced her into a staggered stumble.
