Chapter 270 The Crazy Fuel Frenzy
“That was fast,” Riley muttered.
Beside her, TartKing let out a shocked gasp.
“Huh?! Burger, mine sold too! I just listed it a second ago. How is it this quick? They didn’t even try to haggle?”

“The buyers are desperate.” Riley smiled faintly. “Or maybe they have way more resources than we guessed. No regular solo player could buy up stock this fast.”
Throughout the entire night, the three girls stayed lounging on the sofa. They chatted, watched the system broadcast channel, and casually listed batches of coal onto the trading post.
Every batch was a hundred units, and every single one sold instantly.
On top of that, the buying price kept climbing higher and higher.
By midnight, people were even trading rare blue–tier materials just to get their hands on coal.
“These people are insane… absolutely insane.”
TartKing stared at the ridiculous transaction records, feeling like her worldview was breaking apart.
“I could never get my hands on Mithril Powder no matter how much I paid before. Now someone’s trading it for plain ugly black coal?”
Meanwhile, the vibe inside the Region 8 Survivors was equally heated.
[Table: The boss never lies! I stocked up extra lumber and coal like she suggested. I sold my surplus and upgraded all my gear. I’m rolling in resources!]
[Tray: Same here! I almost tossed my useless heater blueprint. Thank god I listened to the guild leader. Now nobody wants the blueprint, but I sold my extra coal and stacked up tons of food!]
[Knife: I profited too! Hey, where’s that so–called LogicalAnalyst who mocked the boss? Come out and say something! Your face must be bright red right now!]

The group was filled with celebration. Everyone who’d followed Riley’s advice to hoard supplies or avoid foolish sales had made massive profits.
Of course, there were still a few toxic comments.
[Random_Lurker: She was just telling everyone to stay rational. You got lucky this time. Just wait till you lose everything.]
Before Riley could even reply to the snarky remark, TartKing kicked the user out of the group without hesitation.
[Random Lurker has been removed from the chat.]
“Nice move.” PineappleBeer gave TartKing a thumbs–up.

why keep toxic dead weight? He’s nothing but trouble. If you’d hesitated any longer, I would’ve roasted him myself.”
After that, Riley sent a message in the group chat.→
[SpicyBurger: If any of you have large coal stockpiles, keep half of it. Don’t selt everything. I’ve got plans.]
The chat instantly went dead quiet.

People would have doubted her before, but after two flawless market predictions, Riley’s reputation in the group was untouchable.
[OrderBoard: Understood. I kept half my stock.]
[Table: Got it, no more selling.]
[ToxicReaper: Waiting for the big show.]
[Ketchup: Sending out gifts to celebrate!]
[Crowd: Thank you! Generous!]
By the next afternoon, Riley, Neeko, PineappleBeer, TartKing, Joseph, and his nephews returned to camp. They dragged several sleds piled high with newly mined High–Quality Smokeless Coal.
Outside, the weather had completely fallen apart.
The previously gloomy sky had turned pitch black. Violent howling winds swept across the land, carrying massive snowflakes. Visibility dropped below ten yards.
Temperatures plummeted sharply.
Riley checked the environmental data on her system panel.
[Current Outdoor Temperature: -49°F (Continuing to drop)]
“Even the weather is playing right into their scheme.”
Riley turned toward Joseph’s group as they prepared to head back.
“Your place is still warm enough? Got enough food stocked?”
“Yes. The magical heater keeps us very warm,” Joseph replied respectfully.
Riley faintly smiled at his cute way of naming her space heater. She didn’t bother correcting him.
“It’s only getting colder. Store all your mature wheat safely. Don’t force yourselves to work out in the blizzard. Stay inside the coal mine base if you need to. Handle things on your own terms, and come to me if you run into trouble.”
“Understood!”
Joseph bowed and led his people back before daylight faded completely.
Riley brushed snow off her coat and walked into the warm main hall alongside Neeko. She casually pulled up the trading post
