According to the dungeon’s rules, dying didn’t actually mean the end–it just booted you out. But you’d lose random items from your inventory, along with anything you picked up inside.
Now, the fight was finally over.
The stone room that had once felt decently sized now seemed almost bare.
Riley walked over to pick up her axes, wiping away the blood with a practiced motion.
“Alright, those jerks are dealt with. Time to divide the spoils.”
She pointed first to the two silver chests that had appeared after the boss fell, then toward the pile of supply packs dropped by the bald guy and his crew.
“Rules are rules–everyone gets their share.”
The three of them sat in a loose circle and decided to open the silver chests first.
“So, which one of you’s got the lucky touch?” Riley asked.
She was still stuck with that “Unlucky Fool” title. The system didn’t specifically say it affected chest drops–only that you wouldn’t stumble upon any chests in the wild while wearing it–but Riley wasn’t taking any chances.
PineappleBeer stayed quiet. So the task fell to TartKing.
When TartKing lifted the lids, a shimmer of silver light burst out, revealing a small heap of gleaming items in front of them.

“Obtained: Blueprint–Multi–purpose Tactical Vest (Fine/Uncommon) Constitution +2
“Obtained: Inventory Expansion Card x6
“Obtained: Fancy European–style Sofa Set (Blueprint) x4 uses
“Obtained: Dungeon Teleport Card (one–time use) x2
“Obtained: Energy Core x20”
“Obtained: High–capacity Battery Material Pack x6”
Riley’s eyes scanned the haul–it was almost too much to take in at once.
Especially that last one: battery material packs. Those were exactly what she needed to finally get the wind turbine up and running. With these, her shelter could step out of the Stone Age and into the age of electricity.
“So… how are we splitting this?” Riley glanced between the other two.
Without PineappleBeer’s damage output and TartKing’s backup, that boss would’ve wiped them. No one could’ve taken it down solo.
PineappleBeer’s eyes skimmed over the pile, pausing for just a heartbeat on the Shadow Cloak.
“I’ll take the cloak.”
Her tone was cool, detached. “Don’t care much for the materials or blueprints. Crafting’s a hassle–not really my thing.
“And two of those healing potions.”
With that, she picked up the cloak and slipped it on. The dark fabric seemed to blend right into her existing outfit, making her look even more elusive.
“That’s… all you want?” Riley raised an eyebrow.
She knew perfectly well how valuable those materials and Energy Cores were. And that Tactical Vest blueprint–a reusable Fine–grade recipe–could sell for a small fortune if put on the market.
“It’s enough,” PineappleBeer said flatly. “Rest is useless to me.”

Riley then turned to TartKing.

TartKing was already hugging the bags of Premium Flour, eyes wide and practically sparkling.
“I want the flour! And, um… could I maybe have that sofa blueprint too? My current couch is like sitting on rocks…” She pointed timidly at the furniture blueprint–zero combat stats, totally impractical, and exactly what she wanted.
“I don’t need anything else! I’m no good at fighting anyway.
“Oh, and Wood! I hate chopping trees. You guys take what you need, just leave me whatever’s left over.”
TartKing felt like she’d already hit the jackpot. Her original plan was just to survive the first 24 hours–everything else was a bonus.
Riley looked at the two of them and almost laughed.
One was a lone wolf who only cared about gear. The other was a comfort–seeker who just wanted to bake and relax.
So that left… all the actually valuable resources to her?
“Alright then.”
