Chapter 650 The Frosted Greatsword

Chapter 650 The Frosted Greatsword

Frost burst outward. The Wind Bone Falcon’s wings got covered in ice mid-dive, slowing its speed for a critical moment.

Riley spun and threw her Storm Splitter Dual Axes.

The upgraded orange axes’ Cyclone Gale worked perfectly in this wide-open terrain.

The blades sliced through the air and cut the second Wind Bone Falcon clean out of the sky.

The third one fled.

PineappleBeer didn’t chase it.

Floor 18’s first treasure chest sat right in the bridge hollow behind the Thread Hanging Spider’s nest.

TartKing’s hands still shook a little from their close call as she stepped up to open it.

“If this chest doesn’t give good loot, I’m gonna complain.”

The chest popped open.

+5 Free Cotes

Inside was a partial map of the Broken Bridge Wind Corridor, one Windrider Short Feather, and two high-grade stamina recovery potions.

The Windrider Short Feather was a blue special item. It lightened the user’s weight for five full seconds, letting players jump across small broken bridge gaps safely.

TartKing’s mood instantly brightened the second she grabbed the feather..

Routes were the hardest part of Floor 18.

They’d gotten the map pretty early, but it only marked main paths-never the wind patterns over broken bridges. More than once. he map would show a clear route forward, only for them to arrive and find the bridge completely eroded away by wind. They either had to wait for the gusts to die down and jump across, or take a long detour through floating side corridors.

PineappleBeer took charge of reading wind currents and scouting for hidden spiders.

Riley tested unstable bridge surfaces and aggroed Broken Bridge Knights.

artKing handled looting, healing, switching to her greatsword to cut trap threads, and swatting down diving falcons mid-flight

Their team coordination was smoother than ever.

Aidway through Floor 18, they run into a four-player squad on a floating stone platform.

All four wore matching gray-blue short cloaks and moved in perfect sync. It was clear they were either a guiß team or a long term ixed party.

The leader was a woman wearing a half metal mask, holding a long spear. When she spotted Riley’s group, she didn’t back off o Advance she simply planted her spear tip on the ground.

“There’s a pack of three Braven Bridge Knights up ahead we’re not fast enough to get past them atone.”

Riley glanced at her teammates.

All four of them were in decent shape, no major injuries.

“You want to team up?” Riley asked.

The masked woman cut straight to the point with no beating around the bush.

+5 Free Col

“Our team will suppress the Wind Bone Falcons. You lure one knight away for us. We split up after crossing the bridge. Loot goes whoever gets the kill. No fighting each other. Pointless infighting out here.”

PineappleBeer looked toward the long bridge ahead.

Three Broken Bridge Knights patrolled back and forth, their bone horses’ hooves thudding heavily against the stone surface.

Wind Bone Falcons circled on both sides of the bridge.

A head-on charge would get them trapped between knight charges and falcon ambushes for sure.

Riley only asked one question. “How long can you hold the falcons back?”

The archer behind the masked woman spoke up. “Twenty seconds.”

Their mage added quickly, “Twenty-five seconds max.”

Riley nodded. “That’s enough.”

The teamwork was quick and clean.

The archer and mage pinned down the circling falcons first. The masked woman blocked the rightmost knight’s charging path wit! her spear.

Riley charged onto the bridge, stomping on the stone slabs to draw the middle knight straight toward her.

The bone horse charged at terrifying speed.

The knight’s spear cut through the wind, aiming straight for Riley’s chest.

Riley didn’t take the hit head-on.

Her Crimson Scale Heart-Lock Underarmor could block fatal wounds, but there was no point wasting its durability.

She burst forward with her Silent Rush Knee Pads, dodging the spear tip, then planted a Mountain-Shatter Step right where the horse’s front hooves were about to larki.

The bridge shuddered under ine impact.

The bone horse stumbled, its charge thrown off balance.

Pineapple Beer darted out from the bridge railing’s shadows, stabbing her Time-Severing Shadow Blade into the joint of the knight’s wait bone.

Seizing the opening, Tartking sprinted across the bridgehead and opened the nearby treasure chest
