Chapter 119 Bad Mood

Inside the massive private room, expensive liquor bottles were scattered all over the floor.

Mason had been watching coldly for most of the night. Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore and reached over to snatch the bottle from Alfred’s hand.

Alfred didn’t try to take it back.

Once the bottle was gone, he just sat on the couch, staring into space.

His eyes were lowered, his emotions unreadable.

Only the redness at the corners of his eyes betrayed him. It was hard to tell whether it was red from alcohol or something else.

“What’s bothering you? I don’t see you like this often. Who pissed you off?” Mason asked with a gossiping grin.

Deep down, he already had a guess.

Could it be Nella?

Hearing her name, Alfred’s eyelids twitched slightly.

He didn’t answer. Instead, he reached for another bottle of whiskey and drank straight from it.

“It’s not because of Nella, is it?”

Mason blocked his hand again, asking casually.

Alfred’s movement froze.

His alcohol-flushed eyes lifted slightly to look at Mason.

“Why bring her up for no reason?” He spoke coldly while tugging irritably at his shirt collar.

His entire body radiated a tightly suppressed restlessness.

“So it has nothing to do with her?”

Mason’s lips curved into a knowing smile.

A hint of malicious amusement flickered in his eyes.

Alfred ignored him and kept drinking.

“Nella ran into some trouble tonight. Did you know?” Mason suddenly said.

Alfred’s drinking motion stopped abruptly.

He didn’t ask right away and took another drink.

Since Alfred didn’t ask, Mason didn’t explain either. He simply toyed with his phone, looking indifferent.

Seeing that Mason still wasn’t saying anything, Alfred finally couldn’t hold back and looked up.

“What happened to Nella?”

His tone sounded casual and dismissive, but it carried a barely perceptible tension and urgency.

Mason raised an eyebrow and handed him the phone.

“Patrick had some kind of emergency tonight. Nella was even cornered by Patrick’s parents in the duty room, demanding answers.”
