Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 1002

“Hmph! Ms. Scott, making money is about action, not just words. I heard you didn’t even graduate from high school. Can you even understand a contract?”

A young director spoke up loudly.

Natalie looked at him. He wasn't allied with Joanna or that man. She had looked into him—Mr. Hayes, son of the previous Mr. Hayes. He had joined Sebastian after his return to the country because he admired his talent.

“Mr. Hayes, rumors are just rumors. I, Natalie…”

Joanna quickly cut her off, mocking her. “Natalie, running a company isn’t like your schemes to win a man’s affection. You never finished high school. That’s a fact. You can’t even read a contract, so how do you plan to manage this company?”

“Under your ‘leadership,’ vultures will pick the Griffith Group clean within three months. Do you want all the employees to lose their jobs?”

“Do you have any idea that they have families to support, mortgages and car loans to pay? If they become unemployed, how are they supposed to survive?”

After Joanna finished, Maxwell Griffith added, “Natalie, running a company is not a game. You seized The Griffith Group through illegal means to begin with. Do you want to ruin everyone else now?”

Mr. Hayes and several other board members glared at Natalie.

Natalie raised an eyebrow at Maxwell Griffith. She didn't know his name, so she could only call him Mr. Griffith.

“Mr. Griffith, why don’t you explain what Joanna meant? Why were all your management rights taken away?”

Mr. Hayes tapped the table. “Ms. Scott, even though you hold more shares, we can’t feel secure entrusting the company to someone who knows nothing.”

“That’s right. We won’t hand over the company to some young girl who doesn't know what she's doing.”

With Mr. Hayes taking the lead, all the shareholders voiced their opposition.

Maxwell Griffith suddenly spoke. “Natalie, I know you desperately want the chairman’s seat, but who would hand the company over to someone as incompetent as you? Everyone here is driven by profit. In this cruel business world, profit is the core of everything. It’s no surprise that all the shareholders are standing on the same side. These are people who work hard for profits. No one is foolish enough to support someone with no ability to bring value to the company. That’s the way of survival. I advise you to step down from that position.”

Natalie watched him until he finished, then let out a cold laugh and swept her gaze over the room. “How ridiculous. You’re judging my competence based solely on Joanna’s one-sided story?”
