Over the years, Sebastian had lost count of the accidents, car crashes, poisonings, and fires he had survived.
His childhood had been miserable. After Joanna saved him, he experienced a different kind of warmth.
That was why he had treated Joanna so exceptionally well.
So few people had ever been kind to Sebastian in his entire life.
But in the end, even Joanna's act of saving him was a lie.
Sebastian's life had truly been a series of escalating tragedies.
Just a few nights ago, right after his surgery, another disaster had been waiting for him.
If he hadn't been hiding in the shadows, he would have already been buried at sea.
But with the Mythic Consortium involved, this was a much bigger deal.
A small fry like him couldn't possibly investigate something so high-level.
The appearance of Maxwell Griffith had led them to a lot of shocking information.
Timothy was likely hiding some deep secrets as well.
A murderous glint flashed in Sebastian's eyes as he looked at Sean. "Find a way to get a sample from Timothy and run a paternity test. Do it yourself. Pay whatever it takes and make sure you oversee it personally."
He had never suspected this before, but now, he had no choice but to wonder.
Was Timothy really his biological father?
If there could be another Maxwell Griffith in the world, it wouldn't be surprising if there was another, identical Timothy.
"Yes, sir," Sean replied.
Sean glanced at the time. "Sir, your grandmother should have arrived safely abroad by now. Mrs. Griffith's friend, Miss Queena, personally escorted her."
Sebastian gave a faint nod. "Good. As long as my grandparents are safe. Now, go get Timothy's sample immediately. He's furious right now and won't be on his guard."
"Right!"
Sebastian pointed to the realistic mask on the table. "Wear it when you go out. You're all I have left now."
Sean froze again, a warmth spreading through his chest. He smiled. "Wait, sir, is Maxwell Griffith also wearing a realistic mask?"
He smiled bitterly. "Is that really who I am to you, Natalie? A monster capable of destroying the only woman I ever loved, and our own flesh and blood?"
No wonder her reactions were so extreme whenever he mentioned children.
She had even said he didn't deserve to speak of them.
He never knew she was carrying so much pain inside.

Back in her office, Natalie sent Luna and Caleb off to handle their tasks.
Keith remained with her.
After hearing Natalie's story, Keith was astonished. To think there were two identical Sebastians in the world.
Keith's handsome face was filled with shock. "Natalie, could the other guy be wearing a realistic mask?"
Natalie was also considering that possibility, but she knew it wasn't the case. She shook her head. "No. If he were wearing a mask, their eyes, voice, and build wouldn't be perfectly identical."
