Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 1044

"Maxwell, good people may not always be rewarded, but they will always be blessed!"

The old woman's words were filled with earnest guidance.

With tears in his eyes, Maxwell bowed his head in deep, humble apology. "Grandma, I understand everything now."

He just understood it all too late, almost making a catastrophic mistake.

"As long as you understand. Now go home and get some rest." The old woman didn't want to look at his pathetic state any longer.

"Okay! Thank you, Grandma and cousin." Maxwell stood up and left with a smile.

The old woman was somewhat surprised by Maxwell's plea for forgiveness.

His father was a scoundrel, which was why she was so disappointed in his entire family.

"Marshall, you still need to be careful with him. After all the wrong he's done, it's quite a surprise to see him learn to act like a human being for the first time today."

Marshall smiled enigmatically. "Grandma, he knows he's been used. I saw sincerity in his eyes. He really wants to change. Let's give him a chance to start over."

The Spencer matriarch nodded slightly. "Alright, then. But if you notice anything suspicious, kick him out of your circle immediately."

"You're both my grandsons, but I only want the ones with good hearts."

Marshall knew what his grandmother meant. If it hadn't been for Natalie, his own grave would probably be overgrown by now.

"Grandma, I'm going to see Natalie. I need to clarify a few things so we can make plans."

The old woman pointed towards the kitchen. "I made some of my signature soup for Natalie."

"Okay, Grandma. A gift is great! Natalie loves that custard." Marshall stood up, put on his down jacket, went to the kitchen to grab the gift, and headed out.

Maxwell wasn't worried about this part. As long as Natalie was fine, he'd be out in 24 hours.

But his family's company….

He spoke quickly, "Cousin, I'm afraid they'll go after the company. You have to help my dad. We can't let Joanna win."

Marshall's expression turned grim. He had forgotten about that. "Okay! I'll go find your father. Don't worry."

Maxwell managed a smile. He was smart to have come and apologized to his cousin last night. Only because of that was his cousin willing to help him today.

After this incident, he finally understood that when trouble hits, the only people who can truly help you are your own flesh and blood—and even then, only one or two will do so sincerely.

Maxwell asked, confused, "Cousin, you know what Joanna's done, so why don't you bring her crimes to light? If you unmask her now, she'll be finished."
