She was still worried about it. The Spencer family couldn't afford to fall; they were in the same boat now.
“Natalie, with the information you gave me, things went much more smoothly. I confirmed that all the materials were faulty and didn't meet national standards. But with my cousin's arrest, my aunt and uncle's attention is completely on him, which gave me the perfect opportunity. I reported the materials company today, and the owner was arrested. I handed over all the raw materials our company purchased to the quality inspection department for centralized destruction. Now my uncle has no way to frame us.”
Natalie breathed a sigh of relief. “That's good. We’ve investigated, so my case can wait. We can drag out the lawsuit later. I’ll keep your uncle occupied. You have to use this time to clean out the parasites in your company.”
This was as much as she could help Mr. Spencer.
She couldn't do anything more.
Marshall had to fight to protect his family's legacy himself.
“Natalie, you’ve been a huge help these past few times. As long as we can get through this crisis, even with the massive losses, it’ll be worth it to see my uncle take a major hit.”
After chatting for a few more minutes, Natalie hung up.
She switched her phone to silent and closed her eyes to rest.
When Sebastian woke up, it was already noon.
He had overslept and felt languid, but he was shocked when he saw the time. He never liked to sleep in, so waking up at noon was a first.
Sebastian felt completely relaxed, his mind clear. It was a sense of ease he hadn't experienced before.
“Grrr…”
His stomach rumbled. He got up to wash his face. As he was putting on his slippers, he glanced out the window and was struck by the view.
He couldn't see it at night, but in the daylight, the floor-to-ceiling window overlooked a field of roses, their buds just beginning to form.
By December, it would be a beautiful sight.
Sebastian instantly fell in love with the place. The environment was wonderful.
A small smile played on his lips. Natalie certainly knew how to live well.
After freshening up, he went downstairs and saw Natalie had just finished her IV drip and was sitting up from the sofa.
The doctor gave her a few instructions before leaving.
