Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 566

“She would rather owe us nothing, so we can help each other as equals. It’s actually for the best. Since she won't take the shares, we’ll just have to find other ways to support her.”

Marshall was stunned. So that was what Natalie was thinking. It made sense; he didn’t like being indebted to people either.

“I understand, Grandma. But with Yves in the hospital, do you think Joanna has another move planned?” He was genuinely worried. Joanna was full of tricks.

The old woman’s eyes glinted with a sharp, murderous light. Joanna had gone too far. In business, the unexpected was normal. If Joanna had defeated the Spencer family through her own skills, she would have accepted the loss gracefully.

But Joanna had resorted to dirty tricks, which infuriated her. If she wanted to play dirty, then she shouldn't be surprised when the Spencers retaliated in kind.

“She won’t make a move on the company for now. Their main objective is the west suburb project. They’ll focus on that first. But if Natalie is right and there are antiques buried there, that could change everything. You need to be ready for anything.”

Marshall thought of the dream he’d had, and his expression grew serious.

“I understand, Grandma.” Marshall gave her a reassuring look.

His grandmother smiled with satisfaction. Marshall was finally growing up.

Later that afternoon.

Wendy completed the handover procedures.

At six o’clock in the evening.

Wendy walked out of the company building with Lindsay and Yeri.

She turned to look back at the building, a pang of reluctance in her heart. But they wanted to buy it, she sold it. They offered five hundred million, so she broke even.

Besides, she owned several other buildings; this one wasn't indispensable.

Joanna sat calmly, watching as Wendy left the company, looking completely carefree.

A smile touched her lips. “Horace, this place is finally mine. After all these years of waiting, it’s finally mine.”

Joanna’s smile was one of deep satisfaction.

Horace smiled back, his eyes full of envy as he looked at the building in the distance. Meeting Sebastian had been the start of Joanna's second life, and everything had gone smoothly for her ever since.

“Miss, you’ve been planning this for years, and it’s all gone according to plan. From now on, this place is yours.”

“Yes. Tomorrow, I want you to arrange a meeting with our former partners. Have Nora and the others sign the contracts. Then have her call a meeting with the tech department. As long as they do their jobs well, I will treat them fairly.”

“Of course, Miss. I’ll inform Nora immediately so they can prepare.”

Joanna took a deep breath, feeling pleased. Her voice was gentle as she said, “Let’s go. We have to meet with Marshall.”
