Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 700

This was a feeling he had never experienced before.

He looked down at Natalie in his arms, a little disbelieving. She was sleeping deeply, seemingly exhausted. He found, to his surprise, that he liked this feeling—holding her close filled a void in his heart he didn’t know was there.

Having secretly slept beside her twice before, he knew she was a heavy sleeper at night.

She would kick the blankets and occasionally turn over, completely oblivious to her surroundings.

Sebastian shook his head slightly. A silly girl like her could be carried off and sold in the middle of the night and she wouldn’t even know.

The usual coldness in Sebastian's deep, dark eyes gradually softened, a hint of affection creeping into his gaze.

Natalie slept until seven in the morning.

When she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Sebastian.

She froze, startled. Him and her…

Natalie quickly sat up, only then realizing she had been moved.

Her movement woke Sebastian.

“How did I end up sleeping here?” Natalie asked in shock.

Sebastian saw the look of disgust in her eyes, and a chill returned to his own. His tone became clipped. “Where did you want to sleep? In Marshall’s bed?”

Natalie was speechless.

“Of course not!”

She sat up properly, rubbing her sore shoulder.

She hadn’t slept well, and she felt almost sick.

“I was sleeping fine over there. Did you move me?”

She glared at him, offering no gratitude.

Sebastian frowned but didn’t answer.

Then, an idea struck her. Natalie smiled wickedly. “Mr. Griffith, why is your mind so dirty? Marshall and I have a purely platonic relationship. I see him as a little brother. If that’s what you want to think, go ahead. You spend all day imagining sordid things. Can’t you just give it a rest?”

Sebastian froze. A year ago, he had said almost the exact same thing to her.

“Natalie, you…”

Natalie cut him off with a smile. “What is it, Mr. Griffith? You’re allowed to say those words, but I’m not?”

Back then, she had said, “Sebastian, everyone thinks Joanna is your wife. Can you please keep some distance from her?”

And he had replied to her just as she had to him now.

Sebastian took a deep breath, offering no rebuttal. Maybe after she had gotten her revenge, she would stop bringing up the past?

He suppressed the anger in his heart and said, “I’ll leave the car for you. Head back on your own later, and be careful. I noticed someone following you last night. Try to stick to crowded areas and get home early.”

With that, Sebastian turned and left.

It was Natalie’s turn to be stunned. Someone was following her last night?
