“That’s not it, Luna. I’m happy because Joanna is about to get what’s coming to her.”
Luna’s eyes were filled with hatred. “That’s true. By the way, Natalie, check the news. Mrs. Scott already had her four sons’ last names legally changed to hers, and she issued a press release.”
Natalie opened her phone, and a push notification from Yaro News popped up.
She saw the statement Wendy had released. In it, she detailed Nathan’s affair and how he had abandoned her with his debts, painting a very pitiable picture of herself.
She had also posted a recording online of Mrs. Scott Sr. calling her four sons useless and disowning her four grandsons.
After listening to it, Natalie didn't feel much joy, only a sense of sorrow. They were supposed to be a family, yet they were all scheming against each other.
Luna, however, was thrilled. “Natalie, it’s a good thing your legal records have always been here. Otherwise, you’d have had to change your name too.”
Speaking of which, Natalie found it quite puzzling. “Yeah. Grandpa wanted me to go back then, but he insisted that my last name was Su and could only be Su.”
At the time, her grandfather had been adamant, saying she could never be a Scott.
So she never transferred her records.
Even in this new life, she still didn't know why her grandfather had been so insistent.
Maybe he knew all along how shameless the Scotts were.
Natalie closed her eyes. When they arrived at the office building, she didn’t go up to find Keith. Instead, she asked him to come down to the car to talk, as it was far too cold outside.
Keith came down holding two roasted sweet potatoes, which he gave to Natalie and Luna.
Natalie looked at the sweet potato Keith handed her, its sweet, fragrant aroma making her mouth water.
She trusted him to get things done. “Alright. You should get back to work.”
With one less thing to worry about, Natalie was in a good mood.
Keith left happily. After finishing her sweet potato, Natalie had Luna drive her back to her office.
Her main responsibility now was fashion design, and she was determined to do her job well.
Dividends from Matthew's ventures were rolling in, and her collaborations with Sebastian were also selling very well.
See? Look at her, soaring now that she was done with all that romantic drama.
Luna glanced at Natalie in the rearview mirror, seeing her looking almost giddy with happiness, and smiled. “You’re in a great mood today, Natalie!”
