Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 960

"Your son is the one who's not human! He's the one who deceived me first!" Sophia shot back without hesitation.

Mrs. Scott Sr. sneered. "Yes, he deceived you, but you willingly fell for it. Who can you blame?"

"If you want to blame someone, blame the fact that the son you bore isn't my grandson. Even Joanna is more capable than that short-lived son of yours."

"Aaaah!" Sophia screamed in frustration.

Why was she the one who lost?

How did it come to this?

"Mom, shut up!" Joanna shouted, on the verge of a breakdown herself.

Sophia quickly grabbed her hand. "Joanna, you have to help your brother. He's very capable."

Joanna looked at Alexander. "Capable? Brother, you haven't been doing legitimate business with that money all these years, have you? You've suddenly come back because your business abroad failed, isn't that right?"

Alexander gave a nasty smile. "What are you imagining? How could my business fail? I came back because I missed you and Mom. My business is doing great. The holidays are coming up, and I wanted us to be together as a family. I just didn't expect all this drama."

Sophia also smiled. "Alexander, you understand Mom the best. I missed you too. Let's go, let's go home."

Joanna looked at her mother and asked the question she had always wanted to ask. "Mom, is Nathan really my father?"

Joanna looked at Sophia with a glimmer of hope.

Sophia nodded. "Yes. Your father is Nathan."

Joanna pressed her lips together. Sometimes, she truly wished her father wasn't Nathan, but some other powerful figure.

Her spirits sank. "Let's go home."

Joanna followed in their wake, her spirit completely extinguished. She stared at Alexander's back. Who was his father?

Meanwhile.

Natalie and Sebastian were leaving a movie theater with the old matriarch.

They had seen a comedy, and even after leaving the theater, Natalie and the matriarch were still smiling.

The old woman was delighted. "Natalie, I haven't been this happy in years. The movies you young people pick are so much better. I was laughing so hard. It made me feel young again today."

Natalie could see that she was genuinely happy. "Grandma, if you like watching movies, I can come and watch one with you every weekend."

"There are a few more comedies coming out in the spring. I'll come and watch them with you then."

"Oh, that would be wonderful! With you here, Grandma will have someone to talk to. All my friends ever do is boast about their children’s achievements like they’re trading cards. I get so tired of hearing it every day. I'd rather learn something new, watch a movie, or read a book to enjoy myself."

Just as Natalie was about to reply, her phone vibrated. She took it out, opened the video message, and her eyes widened in surprise.
