Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 962

The elder lady smiled, her mood considerably brighter. “Let’s go for a walk then. You can stay for dinner before you head back.”

“Okay,” Natalie agreed.

The three of them had lunch in the dining room.

The elder lady ate sparingly, sticking to simple, light dishes.

However, she knew Natalie loved spicy food, so she had the kitchen prepare her favorites: Szechuan poached fish and spicy chili-garlic shrimp.

Natalie truly enjoyed her lunch.

After the meal, Natalie accompanied her grandmother for a walk. It was cold outside, so Natalie helped her to the sunroom in the backyard.

Sebastian followed silently behind them the entire time, listening to the elder lady and the young woman chat.

Sebastian had always known that Natalie was an exceptionally patient person.

Whenever she was with his grandmother, the elder lady was genuinely happy.

After walking for half an hour, Mrs. Griffith broke a light sweat, the exertion leaving her feeling invigorated. She suddenly turned to Sebastian, who had been trailing them quietly. “My dear boy, go buy me two milk teas from that old-fashioned shop on West Street. I’ve been drinking it my whole life and can’t get used to any other. Natalie likes it too. Get them hot, and hurry back.”

The elder lady waved her hand with a loving smile.

Sebastian knew his grandmother was deliberately sending him away. He wondered what she wanted to say to Natalie.

“Oh, okay,” Sebastian said, giving Natalie one last, lingering look before reluctantly leaving.

As the elder lady watched her grandson disappear, her smile remained. “Natalie, hasn't this boy changed a lot recently?”

Hearing her grandmother's question, Natalie nodded slightly. “Grandma, he has, a little.”

“Grandma, I know about that. Sebastian has had several accidents in the past. Were they all connected to him? He’s his own son. Why would he want to kill him?”

“Sigh… It’s a long story. Even Sebastian himself doesn’t know the truth. I don’t know how to explain it all to you, but please believe me. Sebastian is fundamentally a good person. He knows Joanna’s true colors now. He won’t be good to her anymore.”

Natalie pressed her lips together. Was her grandmother trying to persuade her to forgive Sebastian?

But she couldn't.

In her past life, she remembered clearly that Sebastian hadn't even spared his own father.

It was like he had split personalities. His moods were erratic, sometimes strange, sometimes composed. She could never tell which was the real him.

Back then, she had hated Sebastian for pushing her down the stairs to her death and for causing the deaths of her grandfather and older brother. Overwhelmed with guilt, she always kept her distance from him. She never bothered to listen to what he was saying to others.

So, when Sebastian died at Joanna's hands, she thought she was finally free, that she would no longer have to endure their torment. But then she opened her eyes and was back here. Even now, she didn't understand why she had been given a second chance.
